A light ginger she-cat head poked out from behind an undergrowth bush. She quietly padded away from her Clan's camp carefully so as to hope to not get spotted. Hanging from her teeth were two small kits, barely a few days old, so weak and helpless that even a gentle breeze was enough to knock them over.

Nervous thoughts of being found out entered her mind. She knew in every part of her body, that she was breaking every rule known to the Clans, but she wasn't focused on that.

She was here to meet someone. The kit's father. He was not a part of her Clan, but rather a rogue that lived on the outskirts of the territory that was claimed by four Clans of cats, including hers. Rogues were considered a threat to the Clans, an enemy no less. And so it was considered against the code to mate with them. That code was called the Warrior Code, which contained all the rules by which she lived. The code she vowed to follow when she took that oath so long ago.

But against her better judgment, she went against all that she was taught and fell in love. She fell in love with a rogue and she had his kits. The very kits that she was now carrying.

At last, she spotted him. His dark brown silhouette was facing away from her, staring off into the distance beyond. The fur on his spine waved back and forth as the breeze swept through the night sky.

He was just a tail length away from the border that marked her territory from the rogues. The rogues were in full control of the cats that roamed the streets of the twoleg place that sat at the edge of the land that rose up to what was considered the moor and the she-cat's territory, MoonClan territory.

Her breath was taken away as the cat, she fell in love with, turned to meet her. She couldn't take her eyes off the tom's dark tabby fur. His deep amber eyes locked into hers.

"Are these the kits?"

The she-cat nodded, dipping her head to place them gently down. The two kits, a dark black tom, and a dark red tom, protested as they were placed on unfamiliar ground. She gave them a lick to calm them down and soon they went silent again. Both of the kits eyes were still closed but the she-cat could feel that both of them were curious as to what was happening even if they still didn't understand where they were.

The dark tabby tom stepped closer and gave each of the kits a sniff. He didn't say anything.

The ginger she-cat looked at him sadly, but the tom interrupted her. "What are you planning to do now?"

"Raise these kits in MoonClan."

"But what else? You know your Clanmates won't accept half-Clan cats. You told me that yourself."

The she-cat sighed. "I don't care."

"But what about you?" The tom pressed. "The rest of your Clanmates don't respect you now."

"That doesn't matter!" The she-cat defended herself angrily.

"You can't live that way."

"That's not important right now. You know why I am here."

The brown tom nodded and he gazed down at the kits. Both of the little toms were curled up against each other and the she-cat smiled at the two of them. Her heart warmed up with love as she watched her kits sleeping.

"Do they have names?"

"No."

"Then name them Shred and Crimson."

The she-cat took a step back, "What?"

The brown tom curled his lip, taking a step forward. "You heard me."

"Why are you acting like this?" The she-cat winced as she heard the fear in her own voice. She flattened her ears and placed her tail protectively in front of her kits. "Why give them such horrible names?"
