Getting off the train Me, Lil No, And A.D say our see you laters to everybody. Gbaby just watches us in silence. I never invited him but he knows he could've come. He's choosing to stay, and I'm choosing not to deal with it. I ignore his icy stare and follow the guys onto the platform.
"What he mad for?" A.D ask
I suck my teeth before answering "You know how niggas be. He over protective."
"That's your man or some thing?"
"Nah he ain't."
"But he wants to be." My little brother smiles at me smugly. I don't give him a response because I can't really find one. Me and Gbaby are just friends, but I can't lie and say there isn't more behind it.
Walking slowly so Lil No can keep up with us in his wheel chair we head to the bus to go god knows where. I should definitely ask more questions, but I never do.

In front of me stands what looks like an abandoned house. Some of the windows are boarded up, and the bricks look faded. We walk up a path to the back door which is broken. This IS an abandoned house.
A.D lifts the door out of its awkward angle and holds it up so me, and Lil No can get through.
"Welcome to the deuce shawty." They say with a smile.
