Angel was giving up. His attempts to confess how he feels was irritating. They kept blowing up in his face. this time it actually blew up. He sat at the island, twirling his fork into the dessert he had made. It did little to comfort him. With each bite he could hear Val's voice in his ear. Telling him 'a moment on the lips a life time on the hips' a threat in the tone. One that was always there when ever Angel failed the weigh in at work.

He sighed, shaking his head of the idea. But then he was right back to thinking about the failed attempts to tell Alastor how he felt. The strained conversation, asking him out and being rejected. The love letter he poured his heart into. The dinner he was so proud of. It would of been so nice. Just him and Al and a bottle of wine. Angel sighed and took another bit of his dessert. The chocolate mixing with the tang of the cherries. He began twirling his fork again as he swallowed. Letting out a sigh, he rested his chin on the back of his hand.

The kitchen door opened and he jolted up right. His heart seeming to stop in his chest. Alastor's smiling face looked right at him as he came into the room. "Ah, right you did say you were coming to clean up. Hm forgot" Alastor spoke as he looked around the spotless room. "Uh y-yeah I was. I had some things left ta put away" Angel fumbled to say. The man walked further into the room. Sweeping his finger over the counter and checking its cleanliness.

"A shame what happened to your hard work. That tortellini dish splattered all over the floor and the gals, Ha ha" Alastor let out a laugh that was fallowed by a laughing track for only a moment. Angel gave an annoyed chuckle at his teasing. "Right" the spider rolled his eyes. Landing back on the dessert. He slumped his shoulders in defeat. Feeing miserable. The room as quiet a moment. Angel slowly looked over. Seeing Alastor by the sink. He was tapping his fingers on the counter. An odd look about him. As if he was on edge.

"I will say" Alastor began. Turning to face Angel. He fixed his bow tie that tried speaking once again. A slight pink coming into his cheeks. "This get up of yours is one of the more tolerable things you've warn" he gestured out at the red dress. "One might even say it's flattering on you" he closed his eyes, peeking through one. Angel snorted at him.

"Oh wow Al don' strain yer self with a complement now. Someone might get the wrong Idea" Angel rolled his eyes then set his head back in his hand. The radio demon stood up tall, his brow creasing with mild annoyance. "I am complementing you. I just don't want to illicit your compulsive need to flirt with everything that moves" he waved his hand about as he looked away.

"Pff ok let me get it straight. Ya want ta complement me but don' want me complementin ya back. Just cause I flirt with everythin" Angel asked. Knowing full well what the other meant. But it was more fun to play dumb. Alastor shook his head slightly. Dismayed at the conversation. "I think you know what I mean" he narrowed his eyes at the spider.

Angel poked his own cheek as a display of innocence. "I'm afraid I don' Al. What ya don' want me tell ya I think yer a dapper little man.  Why some would even say yer so bang up ta the elephant" Angle winked. This time Alastor stood tense. His smile widening as his face flushed. The expression was delightful surprise to Angel. Having never seen the man actually blush before. Alastor placed a hand on his cheek and turned away. Clearing his throat with a noise like a dial being switched on a radio.

"Ah w-well it's not your usual come ons. But I'll admit that time was rather charming. Can't say I ever had folks living or dead tell me that one." Alastor chuckled. But something seemed nervous about it. Angel smiled softly, enjoying the little things he was seeing about the man. He sat back and pulled out a bottle of wine from his lowest set of arms. He held it up so Alastor could see the label.

"Brunello" Angel asked. Swaying the bottle slightly. Alastor's smile lightened. He nodded and turned to the cabinets to find some wine glasses. "Well I've never been able to say no to a red wine" he chuckled as he grabbed some glasses then a small plate and fork. He swayed into a turn. Spotting Angel popping off the cork with a bottle opener. He set it down then placed the bottle on the table. Alastor put the dishes down by the seat next to Angel. He looked over at the dressed up demon.
