Alan's phone vibrated on the coffee table in front of the sofa. He reached forward to read the message that had just arrived from Babe.
"Hey Lung. Will drop the car back tomorrow. Only just leaving the beach".
He tutted. Everything would be fine tomorrow once the car was back in his possession.
Jeff came to sit down next to Alan on the white sofa, his arm brushing against Alan's exposed bicep. It happened suddenly, just like it always did. Not for long this time, mere seconds in fact.
Alan recognised the look in Jeff's eye. "Are you okay Nu? A vision? Sorry that was my fault".
Jeff shook his head. He was a little confused. "Hmm that was a strange one" he told Alan.
"Strange how?" Alan asked as he lovingly stroked Jeff's back.
"Are you thinking of getting a new car?" the young mechanic replied.
Alan looked shocked. "No way! The Jeep's less than two months old, besides, I love that car. The gun metal grey exterior, the sleek black leather seating, that new car smell..."
Jeff interrupted him "You wanna get a room?".
"Huh..very funny". Alan returned, poking his tongue out in jest. "So I had a new car in the vision? Maybe it's yours. I can buy you a new car if you'd like?" Alan offered.
Jeff shook his head. "I told you before, I don't need a car Phi". He paused, deep in thought. "Maybe I saw it wrong. But I'm sure I could see the white leather seats"
Alan threw his arms into the air. "Ah well, definitely not mine then, I wouldn't have white leather".
Jeff was confused. His visions had almost always been correct. Maybe the context was wrong. It didn't really seem relevant anyway, so they dropped the topic and turned their attention back to choosing a movie.

The following morning Babe had returned the Jeep early whilst Jeff and Alan were still asleep. When they made their way downstairs for breakfast they'd found the keys on the counter along with a scribbled note from Babe telling them he'd taken his car. Jeff just about managed to convince Alan that he really didn't need to go running outside to check on the Jeep. Instead they ate breakfast together, before getting ready to head to the X Hunter garage.
Jeff opened the front door and began to walk outside. Alan patted at his jeans, "Oh I forgot my phone". He tossed Jeff the car keys, "You go ahead, I'll just go grab it".
Jeff nodded and made his way over towards the grey Jeep parked on the driveway. He shook his head and smiled thinking about how Alan had an unhealthy obsession with the heap of metal.
The second he opened the passenger door it hit him. The rich scent of peppermint and what he thought was gasoline. The sexual pheromones that belonged to two people that he knew. Two people that had just been using Alan's car.
"Got it". Alan said as he jogged lightly towards him.
"We should walk". The words shot out of Jeff's mouth like a greyhound from its starting trap.
"What? Walk? Why?" Alan quizzed.
"Err.. yeah good exercise, we could always use exercise", Jeff responded on the fly.
Alan raised an eyebrow, "Since when did you like exercise?"
"Since now. Yeah, it's a nice day." Jeff felt the desperation creeping up on him. He walked over to Alan and slowly pressed a hand to his chest "You know there's one type of exercise I like".
Alan smiled looking down at Jeff's hand. "Hmm.. but we're gonna be late if we get distracted" he said as he started to move away.
Shit. Jeff grabbed his arm. "A cab..let's take a cab".
"Why would we do that when we've got a perfectly nice car here. I've not driven it all weekend. Are you okay Nu?" Alan seemed concerned and rightly so, he was starting to sound a little unhinged, Jeff thought. Alan was going to have to drive it at some point so what the heck. If the shit's gonna hit the fan it may as well be today. Besides, Alan might not even be able to smell anything.
"Yeah I'm fine, you're right let's go". Jeff tentatively opened his car door and slid into the soft leather seat as Alan made his way to the driver's side of the vehicle.
He looked so happy as he hopped inside, a huge smile plastered across his face. He ran his hands around the steering wheel, muttering something under his breath that Jeff thought sounded like "Aww baby Daddy's back".
Then silence. Jeff heard the deep inhale of breath. Oh fuck.
"What's that smell?" Alan was moving his head around slowly, trying to concentrate.
"Huh? What smell? It's just that new car smell. Let's go". The car had a new smell alright, Jeff thought. He forced a bigger than usual smile but Alan wasn't buying it.
"No. No, no. That's not the smell of a new car". Jeff could see the panic in Alan's eyes. He opened his door and climbed out. Then the rear door opened and Alan was in the back, inspecting the seating there. Musk, mint, wood and a hint of something slightly oily. Then the kicker. Sweat and cum. He turned slowly toward the door, stopping suddenly. A fist raised against his lips. "Is that a handprint on my window?". After a moment's silence he spoke, rage in his eyes. "I'm gonna fucking kill him".
