Cult of Devin ARG: summarized
The COD ARG was created accidentally by the Wattpad user Snerpity. (Snerpity is now an inactive account. They now use the account The_Tezzinator)
Snerpity AKA Tezz made a account titled Cult of Devin (now titled Camera_Beepo) and posted the first few chapters of a crackfic called Fourthwallrebuilder x Someone that broke the 4th wall. This crackfic is still up.
In the fic, it started normal but a few chapters in there was some “glitching” along with some binary. The binary was translated to “please help” repeated over and over again.
At the bottom of the chapter was an email that could be contacted for further inquiries. The following chapter was a announcement apologizing for the error.
From here, it's hard to exactly say what happened next. But the creator of the ARG, Snerpity, made a undercover lore book to help guide those who were following in the correct direction.
Eventually, more accounts were made. One known as “Anti_Cult_M” (now EmmitSWallerson) and the other known as “Cult_of_Devin_inc”
Cult of Devin inc was simplified to CODI and as it was later found out, the leader of the cults name was, in fact, Cody. Cody was quickly introduced as a formal yet dangerous character that was hunting down the former Manager of the cult. The former Manager of the cult, at first only known as M, was the one that hid the messages begging for help in the code in the chapters of the fic.
It was shown that M had separated from the cult and was against them. M made claims that they were murders and that many wrongdoings had occurred under the cult.
Sometimes around this time, a YouTube account popped up titled Cult Of Devin inc. a video was released introducing the account. Morse code was in the background.
The Morse code was translated to “if you can hear this, please help. I never wanted this god awful cult.” This message was presumed to come from M.
At some point Lacch was mentioned as Emmit's dead bff but not much was known of them- they will come up later tho
M around this time was also found to actually have the name of Emmit. That is the name we will refer to him from now on.
Not much longer another video was posted.

There was a paper seen on the table it was jumbled. It read, I will return.
Later, a new Manager to the cult was introduced under the account name Cult_of_Devin_HDR
around this time, people opposed to the cult created a Slogan, Viva La Revolution. This saying was referencing Emmit separating and attempting to destroy the cult, as at the time, he was looked at as a hero.
At this point, crows were brought into the picture. There was a era in the ARG where crows were very prominent. It was found, the owner of the cult of Devin HRD account was named Em and they were a summoned demon by Cody who was in fact, half crow.
