Inexplicable things that, instead of amazed people, the twins simply frightened them. And, as is often the case, fear of the unknown bred negative feelings. As a result, their classmates quickly distanced themselves from the then whenever they saw the two siblings—or worse, went out of their way to bully them.
It wasn't just at school. For as long as they could remember, they had never stayed in a foster home for more than six months. Time and time again, they were sent away with the excuse that they were too mischievous and difficult to care for.
