Chapter 3

We just pulled up to Diggy house and park the van and get out

Perry: I'll catch up with you later shorts !

Diggy: Ight p see you later !

Sandra: bye Perry !

Perry: Bye Sandra ! Nice seeing you again

We walk to the front door and Diggy unlocked .. Mind you I still have his clothes on .. We walked inside the house

Diggy: mom and dad *yelling*

They come walking in from the kitchen

Rev run: hey son ! Hi- uh Sandra

He shakes my hand

Justine: hi Sandra nice to meet you honey !

She hugs me .. They welcomed me with comfort like they knew me for years ...

Justine: come on let's go sit down !

We walk to living area and sit on the couch

Rev run: so Sandra ! My understanding is that you don't have a place to stay ?

Me: your correct ..

Rev run: perry tells me that your parents don't live in a stable home ..

Me: Correct ....

Rev run: when's the last time you've seen them ?

Me: they don't come around a lot .. Probably about 4 months ago ...

Rev run: So where have you been staying these past months

Me: in a shelter or sometimes a friends house but that wouldn't be often ...

Rev run: Diggy .. Do you think you can trust Sandra

Diggy: well I just met her yesterday but I think I can ...

Diggy looked at me

Rev run: okay well Sandra welcome to your new home! I don't know you that we'll buy if my son says he can trust you .. Then I can trust you ..

Me: I promise you can trust me ... I won't let you down

Rev run: alright ! So let me hear a little more about you and your life

Me: we'll my name is Sandra Star .. Im black , white and native america. I was Born Brooklyn New York .. My mom was on drugs when she had me and so was my dad and so they couldn't take care of me so they put me into foster home or as some people call it an orphan as a new born I grew up from foster home to foster home never stayed in one home for a full month so when I finally did get into a stable home at the age of 15 .. I stayed with that family until I was 18 because I was considered an adult and could take care of myself so I had to leave .. I graduated from high school on time thank god then I got a Job at muy papa waitressing .. I was poor at the time I was staying at a shelter if it was not full .. If it was sometimes I would sleep in the street I had to do what I had to do ...

Justine: wow .. Seem like you had a really rough life gosh .

Me: yes I did but that is why I'm am who I am today .... God put me through all this because he knows I'm a solider ! Ya know

Justine: I love you already !! Keep your head up honey ! I can tell your a smart girl ! Are you going to college ?

Me: wow! Thank you that really means a lot ! I appreciate you all so much *smiling* eh not yet I plan on it

Justine: well .. We're taking you in as family now Sandra ! You don't have to worry about where your going to stay or how your going to eat ! We will hook you up with college and stuff

My eyes teared up a little bit ..

Me: y'all don't understand how this makes me feel inside to know a family that doesn't know from a handle of spoon is accepting me like they've known me for years .... Thank you so much! Thank you lord

Diggy hugs you !

Rev run: we got your back don't worry ! It doesn't matter if I've known you for hours god put you in are lives for a reason ! Diggy go show her around the house ... You can meet the rest of the family tomorrow's there all at there friends houses and stuff

Me: okay .. Thank you

Justine: I have some pajamas on your bed .. Tomorrow were going shopping! This is your new home don't be scared to open the fridge and eat or cook you can do anything

We walk out the living area and around the house to theater room basketball court , studio , pool , game room .. Everyone else room then to my room

Me: wow ! Y'all have a beautiful house ...

Diggy: thank you !

Me: Diggy I really want to thank you again for being so kind to Me .. I can't thank you enough for convincing me to get in that van to take me home .. It means so much to me

I hugged Diggy and he hugged me back !

Diggy: your a blessing okay ! Now let's go in your room so I can show you what you have in here

We walk into my new room .. It was a big bed with a flat screen tv , dresser a bathroom .. Walk in closet

Me: oh my gosh !!

Diggy: what ?!

Me: this room is amazing

Diggy: well this is your new room , get use to it ! Your pajamas are here and other things you will need for the night .. Here let me show you how to turn shower on

We walk to the bathroom and he showed me how to turn the shower on I know I was pretty stinky ..

Diggy: here ya go .. Towels are in this closest! Have a goodnight sleep Sandra ! Welcome to your new home

He walked out of my room and closed the door behind him

Me: thank you lord !!!!!

I jumped around I wanted to scream !

Me: I knew you would have my back lord !

I grabbed a towel and a washcloth and turned the water on and took of Diggy clothes and got in the shower and wash my body up and my hair .. I took one of the longest shower I ever taken ...I got out the shower and dried myself off and looked in cabinet for some lotion and walk into my room and sit on bed and lotion my body down and put the clothes on the bed on and walked to the bathroom and look in the mirror at myself ... I got a comb out of my purse and combed my hair from bottom to top then let it air dry .. Then sat on my bed I looked on the dresser to see a lab top ... I got off the bed and walked over to the dresser to see a note on top of the label ..

I left the computer on the dresser and got on my knees and prayed to god !
