"You knew?!" I asked my wife, she popped her lips. "That our daughter was sexually active in a 4 year long relationship? No. She was on the pill? Yes. She had an IUD? Also, yes. She was twelve and had really bad cramps so I took her to the doctor's office and she started the pill, at eighteen she asked my opinion about her getting an IUD and I talked with her seriously. I hadn't thought telling you at the time would have been a good idea." She shrugged, I sighed and groaned. "Listen, David, I get it, she's your baby girl but-." She paused, putting her hands on my shoulders. "She'll never not be a daddy's girl, and she'll never replace you. I know because all girls go through this, all dads deal with this, David, even my own and now it's your turn." She said, kissing my forehead as I hugged her waist setting my head on her shoulder. "Doesn't mean I have to like it." I grumbled getting a laugh. "No, I suppose it doesn't but you know it will be just like this when Harper reaches that age." I chuffed earning an eye roll letting her tackle me onto the bed and rolled us over so she laid on her side she planted a long kiss on my lips cupping my cheek. "I love you, David." . "I love you, Vic!" I chuckled, pulling my wife closer she returned the hug kissing my shoulder. "I love how sensitive you are when it comes to our girls." . "I could say the same about you with our boys." I muttered, it took a minute to register that was the message she was getting across.

After another day, I had brunch with Eleanor and Harry. "I'm going to go to the lady's room." El excused herself, patting my shoulder as she walked by. "Play nice." She whispered in my ear making me smirk as she left. After a few minutes of awkward silence, I broke the silence trying to get the poor boy to relax as he fidgeted with his clothes. "Harry, we've already met and I trust my daughter's choice, El knows her worth." I shrugged, he grinned. "I know. Th-That's not...I-I actually am the one who s-suggested this."
