The man turned towards us again

"I demand that you leave us at once. You are breaking and entering!" Vernon threatened with the rifle in his hand. The man just walked over to Vernon extremely calmly and bent the rifle end upwards. Damn, he's strong. I'm not messing with that. I watched as the man walked over to Dudley.

"Ello 'Arry. Why I 'aven't seen ye since ye was a baby. You've certainly grown since then eh." The man said with the happiest look on his face. Dudley was so confused. It was a priceless sight to see.

"Uh Im- uh I'm not Harry. N-nobody named Harry lives here." Dudley stutters, clearly terrified.

H. Potter. Harry Potter. Holy shit I'm Harry Potter. I can't believe I actually have a name. Oh boy, this changes everything. And this man said that he was looking for me. For me! That must mean something!

I step out from behind the pillar and after a shaky breath reply. "I'm Harry. I am Harry Potter." I don't know why but it just felt more real after I said it out loud. Dudley looked shocked again, not registering that I could possibly have a name.

"Well of course yer are. Las' time I saw you, you was only a baby. Yeh look like yer dad, but yeh've got yer mum's eyes "

That was such an underwhelming reaction. I feel as though me finding my identity means absolutely nothing in the long term.

"I got somethin' for yer. A very happy birthday to yeh."

The man sat down on the couch. I could hear the couch struggling to hold up his weight. I'm surprised that it didn't break. I listened as the room was silent. The man had a song. I also saw a light above his head. I'm still wondering what the music and the lights mean. The man's song was like walking into a Scottish pub. Very loud, cheerful, and welcoming. The man grabs something from behind him. It was a white box. He opened the box to reveal a birthday cake. A birthday cake. I've never gotten one of those before. It looked a little squished but I didn't really mind. Cake is cake.

"Sorry. I got a little messed up. Reckon I sat on it somewhere 'long the way." He set it down on a table that I didn't realize was there before. He got out his umbrella and pointed it to the fireplace. Balls of fire suddenly shot out from the tip of it. Wow. I did not expect that. The man pats the seat next to me, signaling for me to sit there. I sat down next to him and he holds out his hand. "Name's Rubeus Hagrid. 'M the keeper of keys at Hogwarts. Yeh'll know all about Hogwarts, o'course."

"Er- no. Not really." I responded. What the fuck is Hogwarts anyways? Hagrid looked baffled and turned to Vernon and Dudley.

"Are you telling me that these pigs 'ave been teachin' you nothing?" He was fuming with anger as he glared at them. I felt as though the man was calling me an idiot.

"I know I few things! I know how to read a little and uh write......I can also do math......" The thing is that the Dursleys never sent me to school. They didn't want to embarrass their Dudikins.

"No, I don't mean that stuff. I mean things 'bout magic. You're a bloody wizard after all." Now I'm convinced that this man is crazy. I cannot possibly be a wizard. I'm just Harry. Just a freak. I'm nobody special......I can't be a wizard but......it would explain a few things......

"You must know about your parents at the least. They're famous after all." I never really thought about my parents. I didn't think that I had any, to be honest. Well I knew I had parents, I just didn't really think about who they were.

"My parents were famous? Who even are my parents?"

"Yeh don't know who yer parents are?!" He said and Vernon finally spoke up. God, I forgot how much I hated his voice.

"Don't you dare tell that boy anything!" What happened next was surprising.

Petunia's face went red with anger. She slapped Vernon and covered his mouth. "I have been quiet for way too long and I will not let you harm a hair on that boy's head ever again, do you hear me?! I've wanted to tell him about his past but you wouldn't let me. Harry deserved to know about himself and his magic! Do you understand me?" She screeched. Vernon nodded, actually scared for the first time in his privileged life.

"Oh and before I forget, here yeh go." The man, Hagrid, handed me an envelope. It was the same as the envelopes that had been showing up in the Dursley's house. This could finally be it. I can finally answer the question that has been plaguing my mind. What was in those letters?

I take the letter from his hands and with trembling hands, I open the envelope. I pulled out the letters that were inside the envelope. One of them appeared to be a list of items while the other was an actual letter.

"He's not going to that school!" Vernon said and everyone turned to him. Hagrid walked over with an intimidating look on his face.

"I'd like to see you try to stop me, you muggle."

"What's a muggle?" I asked. Why are there so many words that I've never heard before?!

"A muggle." Hagrid started," is what we magic folk call non-magical people like yer uncle and cousin."

"Oh. I have so many questions." I said. I mean, I just learned that I had magic. I mean, it explained a lot of things but it also confuses me even more. Like how my hair grew back in just a day after Aunt Petunia cut it when I was seven. Or when I healed faster than normal after I broke my wrist.
