That's it, Danny's the killer... "It's, Danny." As soon as the words slipped my mouth Rossi walked over to me. "You're sure?"
"I'm positive." They barged through the door, Danny suited up torturing a victim as we spoke.
"Danny, you're under the arrest for the murders of Kristen White, Matilda June, Liza Johnson, and Candy Callahan." I watched as they dragged him away, a smirk playing on his lips as they dragged him past me, letting his eyes wonder me.
Yuck.
"How'd you know that it was, Danny?" I knew the second, Hotch had me interview him to 'test my skills' something wasn't right with him... he was way too eager to get closer to me, he was practically begging the guards for them to let him at me... but, somehow? I didn't see it till now and now he got another girl..." I plopped down on the curb, Rossi sitting beside me.
"It's not your fault kid. In reality if you hadn't figured it out now, I don't know if we ever would've. He was too good... too weird it made him seem impossible to be the unsub." I sighed.
"Well thanks, it's nice to have some reassurance... usually people are just so shocked when I figure something out like that they just leave me standing there looking all stupid... worrying if I made the right call or not." He shook his head as he stood up, offering his hand which I took to help me up.
"Listen kid, I'm sure Hotch left that part out for you to figure out yourself, but we're really just one big family. No ones ever gonna do what's happened to you in your past, especially not out in the field. That's very unprofessional." I smiled.
"Thanks..." He smiled back.
"You're welcome, now let's get on that jet so I can go home and drink a glass of wine."
"Sounds like a plan." I laughed, Rossis arm curling around me as we walked to the truck to drive to the airport.
Once we got on the jet I sprawled out on the couch, catching Reid's gaze that'd been staring at me. I looked back, making sure to look him up and down, just to see what his intentions were.
Instead he just looked into his lap, flipping open a book, then clearing his throat. I smirked, crossing my legs and letting my head fall into the pillow.
"Wakey, wakey." Morgan was standing over me, a bag slung over his shoulder as he shook me awake.
"What time is it..?" I rubbed my eyes, mascara transferring to my hand.
"Three in the morning, but we're back at Quantico. Let's go, princess." I sat up, still letting my eyes adjust. "You need me to carry you?"
"Um, no. I'm fine." I stood up, looking down at my cherry red heels in regret as I wobbled, forgetting I'd still had them on.
"You sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure." He handed me my bags, guiding me into the building, making sure I didn't fall.
When we got back to our desks I kinda just sat there waiting for some instructions, trying not to fall asleep as I ran my fingers through my once pin perfect straightened hair. It wasn't long before I was interrupted with a fat stack of files, my undereyes turning black from how exhausted I was.
Nonetheless I started flipping through the pages, catching myself from falling asleep more times than I'd like to admit. "You can do them in the morning, you know?" I looked over to see Spencer already half way through his even taller stack, his fingers running a marathon down the pages as he flipped through them.
"But everybody else-" He cut me off.
"Who cares what everyone else is doing?" I sat up, he was right. But, I definitely couldn't drive myself home... I'd probably fall asleep behind the wheel. And Uber... I'd cringed at the thought. Working in this fields really changed the way I look at a lot of things and one thing I'd never do... is call an Uber.
"Yeah, but I'd probably fall asleep behind the wheel if I drove myself right now." I held my head, my eyes falling in embarrassment.
"I'll drive you home." I watched as he closed his last file, signing his name for the last time before shoving them off to the side.
"No, you don't have to-"
"You live on acres street, right?" I furrowed my brows.
"How do you know that?" I tilted my head, crossing my arms.
"We profile our agents too, you know." Makes sense.
"Okay... fine. But, then I owe you... lunch on me, or coffee, or-"
"It's really not that big of a deal, I live on Bradley." He started gathering his stuff, sticking it all in his messenger bag. I started to do the same, stuff spilling out of my purse. "You ready?" I gulped.
"Yeah, just... yeah, I'm ready." I lead the way to the elevator, clenching my files to my chest. Reid stood to my right, looking straight ahead as I looked dead at him, not even trying to hide my gaze. His hair was messy, his tie loose, his sleeves rolled... his shirt unbuttoned, his belt loosened...
ding
We stood in silence, Reid glancing down at me then his watch every few seconds. We said bye to the front desk ladies, and I let Reid lead the way to his car.
slam, slam
The ride was kinda awkwardly quiet, peaceful... but really quiet. I studied the trees as they passed by, acres street coming up a lot faster then I'd remembered.
I hopped out, thanking Reid for the ride, but he also hopped, turning off the car and grabbing one of my bags insisting he helped me bring it inside. I obliged, considering my go bag was so heavy I felt like my arm was going to snap. Thanks, Dyson air wrap.
ding
This time the elevator filled with a sort of tension instead of that awkward air that'd filled it just twenty or so minutes ago, Reid's eyes wondering me as if he was trying to figure me out.
ding
I lead the way to my place, 720.
"Well this is it, thanks for-" He kissed me. His hands clung around my face, his lips in sync with my own as I found myself kissing him back. I barley knew the guy and here I was, kissing him back.
He pushed me against the door, pinning my hands far above my head with one hand, the other running down my arm and to my throat.
"Hey, El you were on my way and I noticed you forgot your-" JJ paused, me and Spencer standing in disbelief at not only what we were doing, but the fact that JJ was also standing there, seeing what we were doing. "Phone." She waved the phone in the air, setting it on the table outside my door before she made a 360 and bolted around the corner and down the stairwell.
"Well, thanks for the ride..." I crossed my arms, avoiding eye contact as much as I could.
"Yeah, you're welcome..." We both kinda awkwardly nodded in sync, Spencer turning to leave, but he stopped. "You felt it too."
"What?" He stepped closer.
"The tension," he stuck his finger out shaking it at me. "You felt it too." He sort of bit his lip, frantically running his fingers through his hair. "Otherwise you wouldn't of kissed me back... you would've just shoved me away... you felt it too." I'd be lying if I said no... but what would happen if I said yes? I barley knew the guy, none of this made sense.
"I don't know what you're-" He shoved me into the wall, he lips starving as they fit perfectly into mine. His hands clung around my waist, butterfly's shooting up my spine.
"That, I know you felt it." I exhaled, still trying to catch my breath.
"I felt it."
