Morning run

"Arghh!! Again!"

My alarm blared and once again I was reminded that I had school today.

"Wake up, sleepyhead! You have school."
"Mum, do I have to go??" I said in agony
"Yes you do, it's your last first day of school, baby."
"It's just year 8.." I responded
" put your pants on we leave soon okay?" My mum replied

I groaned as I got out of bed, and put my pants on while I heard my mum making me breakfast. My mum and I have always been close, she was my rock, I was her stone, well I like to think of it like that because it seemed like she was fine on her own. My mum has always been independent, ever since my dad left; But my mum can cook, clean, change a light bulb, unclog a toilet, fix a tile, mow the lawn, she never needed a man anyway that's what I like about her.

I have always despised my dad for leaving her, even though I never knew him... My mum just told me that she got pregnant at 15 and he left her because.. well, he's an asshole.

Michelle's P.O.V

"Breakfast honey!!" I called out

I made him bacon, eggs, and pancakes with orange juice. Me and my son were like two peas in a pod, so I always felt bad keeping things from him. I had a bit of a past and I always felt like he was too young to know... But now I'm starting to think maybe it's time to tell him, he's finishing middle school and will be fourteen next year, but I don't know.

"Mhm, mum this is delicious" he said licking maple syrup off his lips.

"I'm glad you like it" I responded with a smirk

We arrived at the school and I gave him a little wave before sending him off. I was about to drive off when his teacher approached my car.
"Hi there! Are you John's mum?" She smiled
"Hi, yes I am." I said
"I just wanted to have a talk with you about his behaviour at school.." she quaked

Oh boy, I'm used to this, I've had to move him from school to school because of certain reasons he's just not ready for and I'm sick of this lady pestering me about him.

"Look.. I'm sure you're a nice lady and all but.. I don't really care." I shrugged my shoulders and drove off. I looked in my rear view camera to see her standing there annoyed. All the pleasure I needed to start my day.
