"You ready bae?" CeeDee asked Milana, "....fucking round wit you, we gon be late as hell."
Milana came out of the bathroom seeing that he was on his phone, "Blah Blah, I'm right here. How do I look?" She playfully twisted around in her off the shoulder, yellow crop top, some dark denim shorts, and her pink quilted Chanel sandals. He admired her chocolate skin in the shirt and her thick thighs in her shorts.
He got up before grabbing her waist, bringing her closer to him.
"Perfect."
"Thank you baby." She smiled before standing on her tippy toes to kiss him.
Their height difference wasn't too far, CeeDee standing at 6'2 and Milana at 5, 6 1/2. Or is it far?
Anyway, they were going to meet up with their other friends at the airport because they all needed a refresher. A trip to Punta Cana sounding just like the perfect place.
"Wait, you seen my duffle?" He asked going to the restroom.
"Actually, I remember seeing it in here..."
She pulled from his hug and walked over to their closet.
She scanned over to where she remembered seeing the duffle.
"There it is." She thought to herself.
When she picked it up, a velvet box fell.
Bending down to pick it up, she panicked.
"OMG...." her heart racing as she slowly covered her mouth. She saw an engagement ring inside of the duffle.
"You said you saw it?" She heard Cee's voice from the bathroom. She quickly zipped it before taking it to the bed. "Yep! I put it right on the bed."
"Bet, let's go." He said before bending down....
Milana jumped, her breathing being loud and heavy. "Woah, whatchu doing?" She asked backing up, He gave her a look of confusion before laughing, I'm just tying my shoe bae. You good?" causing Milana to laugh as well. "Ohhhh okay, I thought you were hurt." She nervously laughed. "Hm, let's go so we don't miss our flight."
"Right...." Cee nodded, still confused as she tugged on his arm. They headed out to his matte grey Lamborghini Urus. Cee stopped at a gas station since the airport was 20 minutes away from their house. Milana waited for him to get in the store, then she facetimed her bestfriends, Ari and Sierra.
"Hey gi-" Sierra smiled, quickly being cutoff by Milana. "I think he's proposing!!!!" She panicked. "Omg congratulations!" Sierra blurted. "NO, NO, I wasn't supposed to know. I don't think I'm ready for this. What do I do?"
"How did you find out?" Ari asked. "He was looking for his duffle, I knew I saw it in the closet and when I went to get it..... there it was."
"Its okay fren." Ari tried to calm her down."Your nails done?" Milana laid her head back before exhaling, "Ari."
"Okay....okay, I'm sorry." She apologized, "But are they?" Milana laughed, then hung up. "They don't take nothing serious."Cee opened the door and gave her the bag, "I got you some barbeque chips."
"Thank you babe."
About 20 minutes later, they arrive to the airport.
Milana and Cee remained at the Gate/ Departure lounge until their plane was called. "Sierra, Ari!!!!" She smiled wide, clapping her hands as she saw her friends walking up.
Sierra and Milana met through college. They both would run into each other on campus and become friends.
As far as Ari, they met through makeup. Milana came to Ari once to get her makeup done for her 17th birthday a few years back. Since then, she would always let her do her makeup. And throughout time, they grew a close friendship.
Ariana (Ari) moved to Atlanta after she had her baby boy, Kingston. and after dealing with domestic violence, she wanted to move away from his father quickly.
Sierra works as a realtor so she's constantly traveling. But she still resides in Chicago.
The girls shared a group hug. And they greeted Cee, with him greeting back; "Bestfrennnn, how are you?" Sierra asked before sitting down. "I'm good!" She expressed. "How about ya'll?" They looked at each other, "Who wanna go first?" Ari laughed, shaking her head remembering what Milana told them on the phone. "Well..." she hesistated, "I'm getting back into doing makeup."
"Thats so good!" Milana said, her face beaming. She knew how much Ari went through, so she was happy to see her thriving in her dream again. "Yessss, my mom moved in with me... so she watches him while I am gone. I only work three days out the week, so its not much."
"But, it's a start." Sierra shrugged, "I'm proud of you."
"Me too!" Milana added. "Thank ya'll. It feel good doing me again." She said before taking a sip from her tea. "What about ya'll?" Milana sat up, "Well, Cee and I moved in together, I'm writing a new book. But I took a break. Writer's block is the devil...." She trailed off. "I love that for yall!" Ari went on "Oh and I meant to ask, how was your book signing the other day?"
"It was good!"
"I'm so proud of us ya'll, we really doing the best we can out here." Sierra expressed before holding up her hands for a high five. "Uh Uh bitch, you just don't wanna get into what you got going on..." Milana said earning a laugh from Sierra. "Shut the hell up!" She giggled. "Wait, what happened?" Ari asked. "I can't even tell you here."
Ari looked at Milana in confusion of how bad it could be, Milana just put her head down. "Ya'll are so sick." Ari rolled her eyes. Milana looked up seeing Cee talking to Tee and Ja'Marr.
"Ja'Marr fine ass over there. I'll be back, let me make my presence known." Ari smirked. "But we the sick ones." Sierra shook her head "And here go Tee with that bullshit." Milana looked up from her phone seeing Tee staring at her.
It was no secret to the girls that Tee had a small crush on Milana. Before she met Cee, Milana and Tee were really close friends. It never went further than that.
But deep down, Tee wish it would've.
She got up deciding to go say hey to them, not wanting to be rude. "Hey ya'll!" She greeted them with a hug. "Wassup sis." Ja'Marr hugged her. "Wassup li Lana." Tee imitated Milana's nickname as a child, earning a smile from her. "Nothing special, ready for this flight!"
"You ain't neva lied, how long ya'll been here."
"Cee and I were here for about 5 minutes before Sierra and Ari came, since them... its only been like another 5 minutes."
"Oh aight, that ain't bad." He shook his head,"Not at all...... but yeah, imma let ya'll get back to conversing. I just wanted to speak." She spoke, kissing Cee on the cheek and going back over to the girls. Well, just Sierra. Ari was waiting for her to hush, so she can get some time to talk to Ja'Marr. "That girl is insane." Milana joked referring to Ari's obsession. "And that, she is." Sierra agreed.
"This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight to Punta Cana. We are now inviting passengers with small children along with any passengers who may require special assistance, to begin boarding. Please have boarding pass and identification ready. Regular boarding will begin in approximately ten minutes. Thank you!"
