"Lucca?" Ten asked. Her eyes were wide. Tsuna was there too, climbing through the window. "Does no one use the front door!" Irie exclaimed, throwing his hands up. They all ignored the statement. Aida was watching Lucca carefully. She didn't trust him. After hearing about Ten's past, she could never forgive Ten's former 'family'. Never.

Lucca was smiling sadly at Ten. "Long time no see, Ten," he greeted softly. Ten bit her lip. "What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice steely but not completely cold. Lucca took a step towards her. "Valentine sent me. He said it was about time to let us make amends," he replied. Ten's face softened ever so slightly at the mention of Valentine.

"Amends? What does Valentine want amends for?" she asked. Lucca leaned on his right foot. "For the Exchange Incident," he answered with the tone of guilt obvious in his voice. Ten pursed her lips and furrowed her eyebrows. "That wasn't his fault. It wasn't yours or Cloud's either. It was their fault," she said. Lucca tensed slightly.

"Even so, Valentine believes it to be his fault. He wants the rest to make it up to you," he said. Ten let out a bitter laugh. "I don't believe it'll be easy then," she said. Her eyes glinted with anger. "Forgiveness can't be passed around like daisies."

Lucca nodded his head. "I know, but they want apologize. They want old times to be back," he whispered. "The old times were gone the minute they betrayed me!" Ten snapped. She gripped the chair. Lucca nodded sadly. Tsuna watched the two talk, detachedly. He met Ten's old 'family' 3 years ago. They all look so happy together. They became good friends with him. They invited him into the family.

Yet they betrayed her. It was around that time Tsuna decided to become a fake mute. Perhaps the idea came from his despair of Ten's death. She was a precious friend to him after all. If something like that happened to Gokudera, Yamamoto, Hibari and- Tsuna shook his head. No more negative thoughts, he scolded mentally.

"Lucca, do you plan on staying the night?" Tsuna asked. Lucca turned to him. "Ah! Tsuna, it's good to see you again. And no, I am not. Valentine is renting a nearby apartment," he replied. Lucca looked back at Ten. "Cloud is coming next. Be prepared," the raven haired boy added. Ten's eyes widened. "What do you mean be prepared? What happened to Cloud?" she asked, but Lucca jumped out the window.

(Cloud looks like the boy in the picture at the beginning of the chapter)

Cloud sat in his dark, empty room. He hugged his white cat, Milord, to his chest. Memories of that day ran through his head. His white colored eyes that were a shade darker than his hair settled on Milord. Cloud sighed. A knock jarred him out of his thoughts. "Cloud? It's Quentin," a voice said. Cloud stiffened. "Come in."

The older boy poked his head in then sat on the foot of Cloud's bed. "Do you need something?" Cloud asked. Quentin was silent for a moment longer. "Valentine is sending us one by one to talk to Ten," he finally said. Cloud's eyes danced with excitement. "Ten is alive?" he asked. Quentin smiled dryly and nodded. "Yeah and Tsuna too. Valentine wants you to go next. Be prepared for tomorrow," he added and left.

Cloud felt his heart rate increasing with delight. He was going to see her again.

Quentin walked back to his own room and closed the door. He slid down and buried his face into his hands. "Miserable as always, Quentin," Demos said. Quentin jumped. "How'd you get in here?"

Demos smirked. "Through the door of course!" he retorted. Quentin rolled his eyes, but let his thoughts linger back to Cloud. "I haven't seen Cloud's eyes light up like that in a long time," he whispered. Demos looked at him. "We all haven't. Cloud has been miserable without Ten. Us betraying her was practically the final blow," he said. Quentin winced. "I... suppose things went well with Lucca?"

Demos laughed. "Ten seemed happy, but she didn't throw confetti around when she heard that we were coming back," the white haired boy replied. Quentin let his eyes drop to the floor.

"Is that so?"

Tsuna stared at the skylark feeding Hibird. An extremely cute sight, Tsuna thought. Today was one of the rare days Gokudera and Yamamoto didn't accompany him during lunch. Since Hibari hated crowds, the skylark had stayed on the opposite side of the roof.

Tsuna chuckled a bit. Hibari looked at him. "Hn. What's so funny, omnivore?" he asked. Tsuna only smiled. He always wondered why Hibari called Tsuna and Tsuna alone an omnivore. Perhaps he could sense the Cielo27 side of Tsuna?

"Oh, it's nothing, Kyoya," Tsuna replied and reached over to stroke Hibird. As a result of their friendship, Hibari was one of the very few Tsuna would talk to. The skylark just stared at Tsuna. The latter smiled at him. "Is something wrong, Kyoya?"

"You called me by my first name," Hibari stated. Tsuna shuddered. "O-Oh! Sorry about that, Hibari," he corrected. Hibari just simply looked at him. 'I'm screwed!' Tsuna thought. Hibari averted his eyes. "Whatever, omnivore," he said and Tsuna brightened. Hibari was opening up too.

Ten watched as a flock of birds flew by in the sky. Her heart was in swirl of mixed emotions. Anger, excitement, hatred. Never in her entire life had she felt emotions strongly. Ever since she was little, she had learned to detach herself from unnecessary emotions. Ten knew it was a rather harsh way of living, but once she decided to lose that way, she died. Now, alive and well again, Ten went back to her cold, accustomed ways. Yet habits were hard to get rid of.

She could feel a sharp pain in her chest from time to time. Emotions, she had decided, were nothing but a nuisance. Her eyes narrowed as she glared in her daze. "Ten?" Aida called. The white haired girl poked her head inside the guest room. "Are you alright?" she asked. Ten grinned at her. "What kind of question is that? I'm always alright," the raven haired girl replied. Aida frowned for a moment but brightened back up again.

"I heard you and 27 convinced Xanxus-sama to stay in Japan for awhile. Is that true?" Aida asked. Ten rolled her eyes and nodded. Aida giggled. "I can't wait to visit him!"

"Yeah, yeah, just make sure you have a mask on in front of other people," Ten reminded. Aida nodded as she daydreamed with an occasional mutter of "Xanxus-sama". Ten decided it was best not to try to see what she was thinking.
