The Haunted House

Amy and her parents were moving to a new town, she was pretty nervous but she knew she would make new friends easily. They made it to their house. Amy got her bags and headed inside the house upstairs to her room. After she unpacked she went outside and played baskeball for a while. Then some girls walked by about her age. " this house is haunted. " one of them says. " what makes you think that. " Amy asks. " A family died a long time ago in this house. nobody ever buys this house. Last week  my sister was walking home at night and she saw somebody staring at her in the window inside of the house, and it could have been a ghost because nobody ever wants to go in this house. " the girl says. The two girls both walk away, Amy shakes it all off and heads inside of the house for dinner. After dinner it's time for bed, she says good night and gets into bed. She starts to hear little taps on her window. she looks at her window and nothing is there. might just be the wind she thinks but there is no wind outside. She lays back down and starts to close her eyes. She hears quiet laughing in her closet.  Amy starts to get scared so she hides under her covers. A minute later the laughing stops, she gets out from under the covers and then she sees a dark shadow standing in her room right next to her closet. Amy starts to scream and hides under her covers.  For weeks Amy has not gotten any sleep at all, Every night shes always looks out her window and sees someone standing by some bushes, and when she looks away for a second and looks back fast they are gone.  Her room and her parents room is down in the basement, and she sometimes would hear footsteps running across the halls at night. Her parents decided to move out of the house because Amy woudn't get any sleep at night. After they packed up the house they got in the car. Amy took one last look at the house and she swore that she saw the ghost of one of the family members that died staring at her as she drove away.
