Part:7 Who is she?

[Elaiza's POV]

He was standing in front of me, all dressed up in a party suit. He looked so stunning that i couldn't look away from him. He looked into my eyes and i was lost for a while. He came closer to me, still looking into my eyes. He stood infront of me but didn't utter a single word. "Jungkook? what happened?" someone said from behind. We instantly looked away. My attention shifted to the girl standing behind him. She was wearing a short dress with heavy makeup. "beautiful" i thought. She came forward and entangled her hands around his arms. I looked at jungkook. He let her do whatever she wanted. 'oh he came here with her? who is she?' i thought. "Hello Elaiza. you here?" He asked and passed his bunny smile to me. But i didn't reply to him coz my eyes were fixed on their entangled arms. I scoffed and looked away. My mood was ruined. "yeah i came here to deliver cake" I said with straight face without looking at him.

[Jungkook's POV]

She was all drenched in rain. She looked too cute to me. I saw her looking at Jung-eun and my arms. I realized the situation and gently pulled my hands back from Jung-eun. 'Ohh no! now what!' I thought when i noticed the rudeness in her voice. "Jungkook who is she?" Jung-eun asked me. I looked at Elaiza. She was shivering a little because of being wet. "Jung-eun, meet my friend Elaiza" I replied to her. Elaiza smiled to her but jung-eun ignored her. Aahh i hate her so much. Elaiza rolled her eyes and went away. "Jung-eun. would you please go inside and join the party? I will be back soon" I said and turned to go behind her but jung eun held my hand. "Jungkook where are you going? i want you to come with me to the party. we will be late" she said while her gaze were following Elaiza. I sensed hate in her voice. "Jung-eun i promise i will be back just let me go please" i said in a hurry. "Omg! welcome Jung-eun!" A girl, coming out from the house, yelled. I got the chance and ran out of there. "Jung- Jungko-" she tired to stop me but i was completely out of her sight till then.

I sighed and looked around to find Elaiza. There she was, walking a little ahead of me. I ran to her and started walking beside her in rain. "Elaiza come with me, i will drop you." I said to her while holding her hands, stopping her on her spot. She turned towards me. "Jungkook what are you doing here? you will get wet, go inside" She replied worriedly. I smiled at her concern. " no. I will drop you in my car" I said to her. "Thanks jungkook but i am already wet. Don't worry. Go inside and enjoy the party" She said while trying to walk away. I pulled her back. "Please it's already late" I requested. She was about to say something when suddenly she turned around and sneezed. "Look i told ya" i said while removing my black coat from my shoulders and made her wear that. She was denying to come but i completely ignored her. I took her with me and made her sit beside the driver seat. "Tell me the location" I said while putting on the seat belts. I wanted to try that romantic scene where the male lead plugs the seat belt of the female but she did that herself, disappointing me. 'come on jungkook. don't behave like a flirt' i said to myself.  After that There was a silence in the car. neither i nor she wanted to break that.

"Won't your girlfriend be mad at you? you left her alone" This is how she started the conversation. "She is not my girlfriend. We are just cousins" I replied to her while my attention was on road. "Thanks Jungkook" She said making me smile. 'Anything for you love!' i thought while looking at her from rear mirror.

There again was a long silence. I was looking at the road and she was looking at me, I knew this. I turned my head towards her and caught her looking at me. Still she didn't look away. I raised my eyebrows to ask 'what'. She showed no emotions on her face. "What happened jungkook?" she asked me. I instantly look away. 'God! was she reading me?'. "You look stressed. What happened?" when she got no answer, she asked again. This brought a smile on my face. "Is it related to duty?" she again asked. we cops, weren't allowed to talk about pending case. So i was having a conflict weither to share this with her or not.

[Jungkook's POV]

"Actually we are solving a case from a long time now. We still didn't get any clues about that. Things are getting critical day by day, and we are unable to do anything. Since i am the leader of this case i am worried about the life of the children" I replied in a serious tone, sorrow was written on my face. "are you talking about the child missing case?" she asked on which i just nodded. "Aahh. I have seen it on television" She added. I remained silent. Again that incidence flashed in front of my eyes. I was really very worried. "Jungkook" she called me after a long silence. I turned my head towards her.

The look I found in her eyes for me made my heart skip a beat. I found a new emotions for me in her eyes. "Look. It's fine. We often fail in order to get a big success. Don't think about the result. Just do your best and I am sure you will catch him." She said calmly but with so much emotions. I was speechless for a while until I heard a horn sound. The signal was green now.

I started the engine again. I didn't reply to her. "I believe you Jungkook. Don't be stressed please. Believe me, you gonna catch the culprit soon." She added. When she was comforting me, I got so emotional that i wanted to share with her more now. "why if he kills more children?" I asked in a stressed tone. she sighed and replied "If you think about something before it really happens, You are literally putting yourself twice through it". I nodded on her words and took a deep breath.

"You know what? Last week, I got a case. A schoolgirl, kenza, is missing. She left for school in the morning but hasn't returned home since then" I told her one more thing about me. "do you think she has also been kidnapped by that gangster?" she asked. "yes because we are finding her for a long time now and still got nothing. we even checked all the Dustbins. But we didn't found a dead body in school dress." I replied to her in a tensed tone. "You guys are searching for someone in school dress!!!" she suddenly yelled. I got confused by her sudden reaction. "yes why? any problem?" I asked her confusely. "Ooohh jungkook!!" She said and held her fore head by her hand. After few seconds she sighed and looked at me. "How can you say that when she got kidnapped, she was wearing a school dress? Just because she was coming back from school?" As soon as i heard her, it clicked my mind. she was actually right. How can we assume that? "Ohh-- yea- I-" i was speechless after that. "Okay okay. It's fine. Don't you dare to stress on this one now" She said when she noticed my disappointed face. I smiled at her concern.

[AUTHOR'S POV]

They were talking with each other, laughing and smiling. They were quite comfortable with each other now. Suddenly, Elaiza's Phone rang. She glanced at it and her eyes got widen. She looked at jungkook. Seemed like he didn't notice it. Elaiza decided to ignore this call.

But,

it rang again.

[Elaiza's POV]

"may be it's an emergency. You should pick up the call." I heard his voice. 'well it's indeed an important call but...' i thought and picked up the call while making sure it's not on speaker.
"Hello"  I heard his voice from the other side of the phone. "Y/N. Where the hell are you??? You will get late".
