Peter was now seven and about to start school.
This made Tony very nervous.
"come on Tones, Peter can handle it" Rhodey tried to reassure his friend.
"but what if they will be mean to him at school!? What if he'll be alone?!". No one could know he was Peter Stark, so they invented the last name Peter Parker.
"Well, who wouldn't like him?"
"That's right Tony, he'll be fine." Natasha said.
"I guess you're right" said Tony and followed Peter to his room. He opened the door
"so what bunny? Do you have everything?" Peter ran after his dad with a backpack in his hand,
"yeah". Tony smiled at him.
"I'll go to car, okay?" Peter nodded. They went to the garage. Tony took the least conspicuous car, if at all possible. Tony was still worried about Peter the whole way, but he had to trust that Peter would make it. When they got there, they both got out of the car. Tony wore a cap and sunglasses so no one would recognize him.
"so bye sunshine, enjoy it okay?" Peter hugged his dad,
"I'll enjoy it dad". Tony patted him on the back,
"bye dad!" Petet ran out and waved to Tony, Tony also waved "bye" he said and drove back to Avengers Tower.
Peter made a friend at school. His name was Ned Leeds,
"hey, what do you like to do?" Ned asked him.
"hmm I like to draw, build legos and play games." Ned's eyes lit up,
"I like to build legos and play games, too!" they both laughed together. All the while Peter was just hanging out with Ned and Ned was just hanging out with Peter. A great friendship began...
Tony was on his way to pick up his son from school. He was waiting outside the school. Suddenly Peter came out with some other boy. They were talking about something, Peter was smiling and the boy was smiling. Tony guessed correctly that Peter had found a friend. The boy followed his mom and Peter hurried to the car.
"Hi Dad!"
"Hi Sea Monkey" Tony teased him. "How was school?"
"It was great, I made a friend and the teacher told me I'm smart!..." and that's how it was all the way home. Tony didn't mind if Peter was happy he was happy, too. They arrived home and the Avengers immediately had to know how Peter's day went. The conversation started again, but Tony was still paying attention. By the way, Happy's fear that Peter will be too much like his father never got over and probably won't get over (and he doesn't know what's waiting for him hehehe). They ordered pizza for dinner. Peter had enjoyed his first day at school but there was one thing he hadn't told his family and he was determined never to.
