During the car ride back to Sarah's house I told her the story of what happened on the ice and how Richie really got under my skin. I also told her about what happened to our team in the locker room, getting yelled at by our coach and then his punishment for us. Sarah hopped in once in a while filling me in on what happened in the stands and leaving the game. Apparently some of the senior football boys from our school got into a fight with the football players from Saint Marys and they were all escorted out to their cars by cops and forced to leave.
"Is that why we're upset, because you have to spend February break at a camp?" She asked in a comforting manor. I debated telling her what actually happened as it might change the way she looked at me but she came out as bi this year so I feel like she, out of anyone, would understand. So I told her how it all went down leaving little to no gaps in the story. I looked over when I finished explain and her mouth was a wide open smile. She punched my arm, congratulating me like it was this big deal. I guess maybe it was. Was this my gay awakening?
"So what are you going to do???" She asked.
"I don't knew, I feel like he left it in a really awkward way so the camp next week is going to be extra awkward. I would talk to him, but we still have each other blocked from middle school so that's a dead end." I explained. "I guess I'll give it the weekend to think on before I leave."
After I dropped Sarah off I went back to my house and crawled into my bed where I laid for the rest of the night, wide awake. Today's shower event replayed in my mind over and over until I eventually fell asleep.
I woke up the next morning to one notification:
