If Harry could go back in time and undo everything that had happened that day, he would do it in less than a heartbeat.
It has happened a few months after the band had gone on Hiatus. Louis had promised him that things were going to start getting better. That life was going to get easier for them. "When our contracts finally end, Haz, We'll be free. Can you imagine it? Freedom..."
Harry had stupidly believed him, but could you blame him? The way Louis looked at Harry... Harry felt like Louis could do anything for him. Louis could fix any problem, Louis could make everything better. Louis would fix their love.
As each day passed, Louis and Harry got closer and closer to freedom. That was until that stupid day came that ruined everything.
The day had honestly started off great, Harry couldn't even try to deny that. He had woken up by sweet and gentle kisses being planted all over his face by his boyfriend, Louis.
"One week until were free, Harry." Louis said quietly when he saw Harry was starting to wake up.
Harry slowly opened his eyes and looked up tiredly at Lou. Harry couldn't help but smile at seeing how happy his beautiful boyfriend was. "I know, Lou," Harry mumbled in a sleepy voice, which made Louis blush slightly. "You've been counting down the days now for almost a month."
"I just love you so much!" Louis protested as he tackled his sleepy boyfriend in a hug. "And I want the whole world to know!"
Harry laughed and smiled up at Louis, feeling a warm blush creeping up onto his cheeks. "I love you too, Lou."
Louis smiled and cuddled closer to harry, resting his head on Harry's bare chest like a pillow so that Louis could hear Harry's heartbeat. Harry didn't even have to think about what to do next, it felt like instinct. Harry reached out and started playing with Louis' feathery brown hair.
"What are you most excited about when the contracts end?" Louis asked, not wanting this moment to ever end.
Harry thought about it for a moment as he continued to run his fingers through Louis' hair. "I just wanna live the rest of my life with you." Harry mumbled. "I wanna be able to go outside with you. To hold your hand in public and kiss you whenever you want everyone knows you're mine. And I'm really excited for the fans to finally find out the truth. They've always thought something was up since the X-Factor days. I think they'll be happy to finally know the truth." Harry felt Louis smile against his chest.
"Have I ever told you that I love you?" Louis asked quietly. Harry laughed.
"Yeah, I think you've said it to me once or twice before."
Louis rolled his eyes. "But like... I really love you." Louis said quietly.
Harry couldn't keep the smile off his face. "Good to know."
A few moments of quiet peace passed with Harry playing with Louis' hair.
This is perfect. Louis thought as he listened to the quiet and even sound of Harry's heart beating in his chest.
"Hey, Lou?" Harry asked after a minute of quiet.
"Yes, Love?" Louis responded quickly.
"I love-" Harry was interrupted by Louis' phone suddenly going off on Louis' nightstand.
"Bloody hell." Louis mumbled as he reluctantly lifted his head from Harry's chest. "Who's calling at 8:28 in the morning?" Louis grumbled as he reached across the bed to grab his phone.
Harry's fingers slipped away from Louis' hair as Harry sat up, climbing out of the bed and walking over to their shared closet to pick out an outfit for the day. Harry pulled on a sweatshirt and some joggers, before he walked into the bathroom to get ready. Harry brushed his teeth and tried to fix his hair up. He had cut it a few weeks before to give to a charity, and Harry was still slightly getting used to having short hair now, but Harry liked it. It was nice not having so much hair that he had to tame each day.
After Harry finished getting ready, he walked back into their bedroom, expecting to see Louis there, waiting for Harry so they could continue cuddling, as it was too early to really get up yet.
Instead, Louis was sitting on the edge of the bed, looking pale, the phone in his hand threatening to fall to the ground with how much Louis' hands were shaking.
"Louis," Harry said quickly, rushing over to where his boyfriend sat. Harry gently sat down on the edge of the bed next to Louis and quickly wrapped the smaller boy up in a hug, pulling him over so that Louis was sitting on Harry's lap. Harry took Louis' shaking hands in his in an attempt to calm him down, setting Louis' phone aside. "Louis, you're scaring me. What's going on? What happened?" Harry asked in a calm voice, Looking into Louis' beautiful blue eyes.
Louis slowly looked back into Harry's eyes, his breathing shaky.
Blue met green.
"It's Simon... He's forcing me to sign another contract..."
A/n: Hi everyone!
Look what I did for you guys! I finally was able to get this story how I wanted it and now it's here! I really hope you guys like it! I don't really know how it's going to turn out, so I guess we'll figure that out along the way.
Anyways, if you guys have any ideas for books/fanfictions you want me to write, feel free to comment them here.
I kinda got inspired to write this story from a Directionater I met out in the wild. I didn't even realize those things actually existed! I thought they were just scary stories that we told to little Directioner children, but I actually met one!
She said that her favorite member was Harry, but when I saw her again on Harry's birthday a few days ago, she didn't even know that it was his birthday.
Also, apparently, according to her, there's such a thing as having least favorite members?? She said that her least favorite members were Zayn and Liam.
Zayn, because he left the band and now she doesn't love him as much, which I think is stupid. Zayn left because he couldn't handle it anymore and honestly that just makes me respect him more that he was brave enough to leave when he knew it was the best thing for him.
She said she doesn't like Liam very much because "You hardly ever even see him. Like, I know nothing about him." Whatever you say bestie.
Anyways, she also said that she didn't think Larry was ever real. Not even in the One Direction days. She said that Harry and Louis were just really comfortable around each other and people took that to mean they loved each other. She also said that she thought the Larries were really annoying and stupid and stuff.
Anyways, she kinda made me have a weak Larry moment, so now I'm here, writing this story for you guys.
Don't listen to Directionaters. They don't even know what they're talking about.
I hope you all have a good day today! Remember to take care of yourselves. Try to eat something today, even if it's just something small and do your best to drink a bit of water today. I love you all so much! <3
