It was cold. Not  winter cold, but an empty sort of cold. The feeling of emptiness where the only thing she can feel right now was the cold that surrounded her.

Ray just woke up and found herself in the dark. At first she thought she lost her sight but in reality, everything around her was just pure darkness.

"Chatty why am I here? What's going on?" She doesn't know how long she's been knocked out cold but she knew Chatterbox left her there. He said he wanted to talk to her and next thing she knew she was out. She was going with him no matter what, but of course she knows that what happened didn't exactly sit right with him.

~silence~

Chatterbox had been following her from a distance. There was no greater torture than having to be left on your own and with your own thoughts. The past few days being around her and hanging out with her, he really thought she cared about him. And not just him but also the rest of the clowns. He has never seen anyone as down for clowning around as Ray was as Hiccups.

He thought he could trust her. He even told her his life story that only Tessa knew the truth about. Now, he can see that Ray actually doesn't give a yuck about him.

"I don't know! I don't know why we're back here okay!?!" Her voice echoed even though she was speaking in hush tones as she sat on the ground, hugging her legs.

"I just thought maybe...maybe this time would be different...but I'm still the same fuck up! My friendships, my relationships, and my family, I'm trying so hard but it's all going so wrong again."

What is she talking about?

Chatterbox waited and watched as Ray seemingly started to spiral.

"Shut up! Shut up! I deserve to be here! I deserve to be home! I deserve to be with my family and my friends! I'm not letting you ruin it again!" Ray stood up as she yelled in the dark.

"Do we really? Do we really deserve to have a home back in Los Santos? If you truly believe that then you should've fought for it! You shouldn't have left them in the first place! Maybe they do deserve you, but you...you abandoned your family and your friends. You did the one thing that you promised yourself you'd never do!"  The image of herself started to walk away from her and eventually disappeared in the darkness.

"I deserve to be here..." she sits back down, "I need to be here, I have to be here..."

Chatterbox let's a few more minutes pass, almost feeling bad. Nothing else has happened but somehow she was already tortured more than he intended. He was about to move towards her to finally start the talk but what he heard was enough to make him realize what was happening. Ray Mond was having a breakdown, one that he was familiar with.

"What the fuck is this? What are you doing? Get the fuck up! I taught you better than this."

She began to cry even more as she hears the voice she missed the most. She shakes her head knowing it's not real. That the person in front of her is not real.

"Everything was just going so wrong. I couldn't tell if I was part of the gang or if I was just tolerated because of you. I didn't know if the family hated me because if they didn't...they wouldn't have done what they did, right? I just wanted to feel like I belong, that I earned my right to be part of them. Was I really that bad that I've become intolerable?"
