A nightlight, I'm sure we've all had one to keep those monsters that we thought were hiding under the bed away. It was a sign of comfort that slowly faded into nothing but a small memory.
As children we'd laugh and do things we would never do today, what if there was some kind of stairway that lead us to our dream pathway.
A nightlight, it reminds me of you, giving me endless reasurrance on a day to day basis. And how could I forget your grasicousness. You understood me more than I could myself, which brought my personality out more from the old and dusty bookshelf.
I thought you were a nightlight saving me from the rest of the world, I guess I was fooled by all the lies that you hurled. Slowing keeping me away from my closest friends, controlling my every move, oh how much you condenscend.
You never remembered anything about me, only the things that kept you pleased, I thought every monster fled but apparently one still bleeds.
