As I felt Mattheo leaning heavily against me, his energy drained and his legs barely functioning, my heart sank. I guided him to my bedroom, every step a struggle, and gently helped him lay down. Sitting beside him, my voice trembled as I spoke, "It's okay. We're safe now. You can scream and cry as much as you need to. I won't judge."Tears welled in his eyes as he began to cry. "Please don't hurt me," he pleaded, his voice raw with fear."I won't," I assured him, taking his hand in mine. "You're safe now.""Please, make it stop," he begged, his voice filled with anguish."I'll try," I promised, my own voice catching with emotion. "I know it hurts. I'm here to help you."As he struggled to find words through his pain, I reassured him, "I'll never hurt you, I promise.""It hurts," he gasped, his breath becoming labored. "I can't... I can't...""Hey, don't give up," I urged, squeezing his hand gently. "I'm here for you. Let me help.
"Don't lie to me. You'll hit me too" "I won't. I'll never do that, I promise" "Stop lying" "I'm not lying Mattheo, I'm really not" "It hurts"
"I'll help" As I murmured the incantation for the spell "Veleur," a dark sphere emerged from Mattheo, representing the layers of darkness from the curse. With unwavering focus, I began to remove the layers, but each attempt only seemed to cause him more pain.
"You promised!" he cried out, gripping my hand tightly.Tears stung my eyes as I pleaded, "I am trying to help, trust me.""It hurts!" he screamed, his agony piercing through me."If you don't let me help, it'll hurt more!" I implored."Okay," he muttered, relenting slightly. With renewed determination, I continued to channel the spell, gradually reducing the layers of darkness. His screams echoed through the room with each attempt, but I refused to give up. Finally, after several tries, I saw a glimmer of light within him."How much?" he whimpered."Two more," I replied, my voice steady despite the turmoil. With one last effort, I released the final layers of darkness, muttering the spell "Ambeour" to ease his pain. Holding him close, I whispered soothing words as he cried and trembled in my arms."It's okay. It'll get better," I reassured him, my own voice wavering with emotion. After a few minutes, his screams subsided, replaced by quiet sobs. "How do you feel now?" I asked gently."Better," he murmured weakly."Would you like something to eat?" I offered, wanting to provide some comfort. "Yes," he replied, his voice barely audible. "Stay here, I'll be back," I said, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead before heading to the kitchen. I take the porridge back to the room to see him hurled up into a ball. I place it on the side table and sit him up. "Where does it hurt?" "Everywhere" I get the trunk and start cleaning up his face. "Look up" I place the bloody bandages on the side. "Give me your hand" I see the wounds from the shackles around his neck, hands and legs. "Veleur" I heal most of it. Then I grab the porridge and try to fed him. "Open". After feeding him, I grab the bag I packed and take out his clothes. "Go take a shower, towel's behind the door. I'll be in the kitchen." He nods and heads towards the bathroom.
