PROLOGUE - Sunday

I still remember that cold afternoon, being in elementary school playing around with the sand and hearing the laughter of children running around playing tag.
There was this one girl named Abby which always was a troublemaker and annoyed everyone, especially the teacher.

I was making a sandcastle with a friend of mine, their face is unfamiliar so I don't think I really was their friend anyway, Abby came up to me and said (I think..) "Hey! Want to play tag in the yard?" I looked at her and nodded, following her to the yard (where we were restricted to go to) and started playing, it was normal at first, tagging each other, having dumb fights about whether we got tagged or not, normal.

But then as she tagged me, [ "Tag! You're it!" ] I ran into the road, chasing her as she ran, I remember hearing an teacher calling us to get back to the school but I didn't care and neither she [Abby] did. I tripped as she went to the other side of the road, telling me to get up quickly because a truck was coming, my eyes were watery and blurry, I couldn't stand up as all my body felt weak, I tried to stand up but-

¡CRASH!

My mind went clear, I couldn't hear nothing or even move, I felt pain, everywhere on my body, it felt like peace and pain at the same time, I thought I was about to die and got so scared, my eyes were so blurry due to possibly blood and tears, I could barely see my teacher calling the ambulance but I saw Abby run away, that was something that made me feel even more sad, I would die alone, only an teacher looking at me and the broken car next to me.

My eyes shut down, I can't hear nothing, it's all black and time feels like it's slow.

As it felt like a second passed, I slowly woke up in a hospital bed.

My eyes flicker, i look around looking for my mother, tears fell out of her, running of to my arms trying to hug me without hurting me even worse, I saw my father looking at me while listening to the doctor, I couldn't hear enough what they were talking about, but I hear my mom saying how happy she was I was awake, saying how lucky I was of making it and hugging me tightly (not so tight). But I kept thinking about Abby, why would she abandon me? We were friends for only a small amount of time though, but at that time I always thought all people were nice and all kind.
