Jin sighed. What should he do? How could he do? After all this he doesn’t have any courage to start a new life. He again sighed and proceeded to wear his new school uniform. He didn’t feel like styling his hair. He went downstairs and saw his aunt in the kitchen.
"Haeun-ah! "
He hugged her from behind and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Aish! Brat! No respect for elders at all. Why is your hair wet? Come let me dry it with a towel. "
"No, I am leaving for school. "
"What do you mean? I made breakfast. There is still time. Why so early? "
"I don’t want any attention by arriving late. I don’t want anyone to notice that I am new here."
" How long are you going keep hiding away from people? You are becoming an introvert. You are nothing like before. Don’t feel guilty because of the past. You are a changed person. My jinnie is much more sincere and mature now. One mistake can't take away everything from your life. "
"What is the use of it? I am going to be forever the same. Nothing is changing. I can't get out of this dark pit."
"No! Don’t say like that. I believe god will give you another chance. Something good will definitely happen, trust me!"
Jin chuckled.
"I am not getting my hopes up."
"Now eat something. And please try to make some friends. "
"No! No need. I can't get attachments. I agreed to come here only because I love you. If you haven’t insisted I wouldn’t have come to this small town. "
"Why? What's so bad about it? Why so negative? No more negative thoughts! We are going for a fresh start. A beginning of our new journey. Come pray with me."
His aunt closed her eyes and began to pray. He rolled his eyes. At this point there is no point of praying.
He quickly drank some juice and took a slice of bread to eat it on the way.
"Hey!Sit down!"
"Sorry! I love you. I will be back early to help you at the bakery."
"Tsk! He never listens to me."
Jin walked slowly and tried to memorize the town. He knows the path to his school. But didn’t get a chance to actually roam around the town. They shifted here three days ago. His aunt told him that she will take him to visit this town in the evening. Maybe everything won't be that bad after all. Or so he thought. Almost every living being was staring at him on his way to school. This is creepy! What’s their problem! An old woman who was sitting in front of her shop shouted.
"Hey! You!"
"Me?"
"Yes! Are you new here? Where do you live?"
"I..."
"Here, have an orange. These is very sweet."
"No thank you. I don’t wanna buy it"
"I am giving you this for free. Silly."
"I think I should go. I am sorry. I don’t want it."
He quickly ran away from there. Why people are being so weird? He shouldn’t accept anything from strangers.
He sighed and headed towards his school.
