"William, wake up!" Ugh, not again. It's probably Monday again, isn't it? "William, wake up, now!" I hear mom scream from the other room. I'm still so tired, I couldn't sleep. "William Alexander, if you don't wake up now, I'll...!" Before she could finish that sentence, I'm up getting dressed. I hastily put on my uniform, but not without its problems. My pants got caught on my foot, my sweater almost ripped, and my blazer lost a pocket when it got caught on my door handle. I laugh sarcastically, "Way to get a Monday started, William," I murmur to myself. It's now 6:10, I stumble into the kitchen. The kettle is boiling. I get out a mug from the cupboard, and I get a teaspoon. I measure 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of instant coffee powder sleepily. I then add 3 teaspoons to the coffee. By this time, the kettle is done boiling, and I pour the boiling water into my mug. Lastly, I get the milk from the fridge, and I add it to the coffee. I give everything a good stir. After that, I grab myself a bowl from the cabinet, and I grab myself some cereal. I pour it into my bowl along with some milk, and I go eat at the table. By now, it's 6:15. I eat hastily, and I quickly drink my coffee, spilling some on my pants. I quickly get a towel to dry it off. Mom is getting her things ready. She packs her purse with all her necessities and is ready to go. I quickly run past her, almost slipping on the wooden floor to ho brush my teeth. After that, I quickly comb my hair. I get all of my books and put it in my bag. Mom went to the kitchen to get something. I know this trick of hers. If I'm not out the door by the time she gets back, I might as well be dead. So when I guard her footsteps approaching, I knew I was about to be in trouble. I bolted towards the door, seeing the garden, fence, and road just beyond it. I ran, and when I got to the door, I leaped out of it, jumping, like an antelope almost, out of the door. When I land, there's nothing. The garden is gone. The fence and road are also gone. It's just grass as far as the eye can see. Tall, grayish grass with a hint of green, just like the grass from the Grasslands. I turn around to see nothing, just more grass, no house, no door, no Mom... Just me and my book bag, in an endless field of grass.
