The story begins with a majestic ship. Sailing on a clear sea. The sun is shining, the breeze is cool and just right for a smooth sail. The ship is carrying valuables. Not only jewels and spices, but fathers, mothers, daughters and sons. The first leg of the journey goes to plan, as one would expect it to. The poets called it the calm before the storm.

The disaster strikes next. A singular turn and a storm is brewing. Someone made the wrong move. Now everyone on the ship is in danger. Thunder claps above them, angry gray clouds swirling in a typhoon.

Waves crash against the decks. Some people are getting soaked at this point. Others are running about in panic. What are they going to do? Things weren't supposed to turn out this way. What's happened to the sunshine, light chatter and buzz of excitement? It's fading away into their consciousness. No one has time for that now. Instead, gloom and a sort of inevitable doom filled their minds.

They gave up hope. It was the only thing they felt as though they could do. The water around them engulfed, pulling them into the murky depths of the unknown. Their ship went down with them. And all traces of them ever existing vanished.

People gone. Just like that. They've lost themselves to their inability to deal with their emotions. A tragedy written in the stars.

But what if they tried to pull themselves out of their situation? What if someone, anyone, just tried to take control of the ship and wade through the choppy waters? What if they were successful?

Then everything could've been alright.
