Pov Jiwoong
"Why are you so cute?"
"I can be more cute if you want me to."
Jiwoong laughed, and hugged Ricky tightly. Every time he was hugging him, that day came to mind.
The day they hugged for the first time. He always wanted to cry, but not because he was sad.
But cause he was really happy. He was feeling like he was the luckiest person to ever exist.
Sometimes, he was wondering; why weren't they dating? Ricky seemed to like him back, but Jiwoong was scared.
Maybe it was just Jiwoong's imagination and Ricky was sexually attracted to him, and not romantically.
"Hyung?"
Jiwoong snapped back, and looked at Ricky, who was staring at him with a really worried look.
"Hm?"
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing. It's all good, I promise."
Ricky moved a bit up, getting off Jiwoong's arms. Jiwoong was looking at him in the eyes, with so much love.
"Whatever is on your mind, just know that I'll be here. And you can talk to me. Okay?"
Jiwoong smiled slightly, and looked away. But not for long. He felt Ricky's hands on his face, and the younger made him look at him.
"I love your eyes."
He confessed, and Jiwoong felt the butterflies on his stomach partying like they were crazy.
It had only been a week since they started talking, so Jiwoong felt like it wouldn't be right to ask him out just yet.
"Ah, hyung."
"What?"
"Well... I think- oh, wait."
His phone started ringing, and the younger stood up to go and pick it up. Jiwoong just kept looking at him.
"Yeah, I got it."
Ricky said in Chinese, and Jiwoong looked at him confused. He couldn't see his face, only his back.
"What's wrong?"
Jiwoong asked once the younger hung up. Ricky turned around, looked at him, then just smiled and sat next to him again.
"You know, hyung, sometimes, being a doctor's son isn't a great thing. But I at least have you."
He whispered, and hugged the elder like as if he was a really big plushie, or anything like that.
Jiwoong wrapped his arms around Ricky, and the younger boy quickly fell asleep in Jiwoong's arms.
He definitely was really tired, and scared. He was still shaking, even tho he was safe at home.
Jiwoong could hear his teeth hitting, because of the shaking. And his heart was beating really fast.
The elder hugged him tighter, but that only made Ricky shake more. Was he watching a dream? A nightmare, basically?
"Rickyyy. Hey, wake up. What's wrong? I'm here."
Ricky slowly opened his eyes, like a newborn, and gave the elder a weak, but really cute smile.
He then closed his eyes again, and he started to slowly stop shaking. But Jiwoong was still really worried.
What was he scared of when he was safe, right in Jiwoong's arms at his house, where no one could touch him?
*Fast forward to Monday*
Jiwoong got up, grabbed his bag, and immediately made his way to school. Him and Ricky would present their project to the class.
He soon arrived, and looked around him for Ricky. But there was only Gunwook, so he immediately ran to him.
"Ji hyung!"
Gunwook said and hugged Jiwoong tightly. The elder laughed, and hugged him back, still looking around.
"Nah, don't look for him. I don't think you'll see him today."
"What? Why?"
"I don't know. Matthew won't come either. He texted me some minutes ago, both of them will skip school."
Jiwoong took his phone out of his pocket, but he didn't see any text messages from Ricky.
He raised his head, with a little bit of hope still inside him. But Ricky was nowhere to be seen.
"Maybe they don't want to do the presentation."
"I hope this is it and nothing else, something worse."
Jiwoong looked at Gunwook, his eyes full of anger. He started to walk away, making his way to Ricky's house.
The only thing that was on his mind was that maybe Ricky wasn't feeling well but didn't want to tell him.
To his surprise, Ricky wasn't home. If he wasn't at school, but also wasn't at home, where was he?
"Hyung. Go to school."
He heard someone saying. He would recognise that voice everywhere. It was definitely Ricky.
He turned around, and saw the younger looking at him with a cold look, like how he did when he hated him.
"Ricky-"
"Go! I don't- I don't want to see you... Again."
Jiwoong's heart felt like stopping. That was the most unexpected thing Ricky could say at that time.
It was so sudden, Jiwoong was not prepared for it. He felt like he was freezing. He couldn't talk.
"What are you looking at? Hyung, go."
He was still calling him hyung. So he was either playing a prank on him, or someone was forcing him to do that.
Jiwoong gladly wasn't stupid. He could understand that something was wrong. Ricky didn't mean it.
If he did, He would have yelled at him. He would've called him names, that would make him feel like shit.
The elder was looking at him, not with a sad, or confused look. But with an understanding one.
So Jiwoong started to slowly going backwards, not wanting to make Ricky feel more bad than he already seemed to be.
When he finally went back to school, Gunwook ran to him, to ask him if he saw Matthew or Ricky anywhere.
"I did. And... I think it was the last time I saw him. I will do the presentation alone."
He was very calm, like nothing had happened. Nothing that could make his mental health just die.
"What?"
"Nothing. By the way, no, I didn't see Matthew anywhere. Hope you see him soon."
"Hyung! You're scaring me!"
Jiwoong scoffed, and just hugged Gunwook tightly, scaring him even more. But the scariest part was that Jiwoong was really, really calm.
"What happened to Ricky?!"
"He said he doesn't want to see me ever again. But I know he doesn't mean it. It's either a joke, or someone is making him do that."
