The wind was brewing in the cold, Icy breeze as the pack of wolves marched in single file through the snowy field. There was an old poachers hut that they had approached before but they veered away from it. They didn't know of the dangers that would be there.
A teenage wolf was trotting beside the Alpha wolf who was leading the pack. He was a very confident and caring wolf and was also the young teenages father. Suddenly the Alpha wolf stopped. He raised his head and started to sniff the air, searching for an unknown threat. He started to growl and all of the other wolves followed in his aid so they were louder and sounded more threatening. They were surrounded by poachers.
"Lookie what we got 'ere boys" snickered one of the poachers. "We could make some good fur coats out of 'em." All of the other poachers smirked and nodded in agreement. The wolves continued to growl and looked at each poacher carefully, waiting for any slight movement that could be considered as a threat.
There was a minutes silence and nothing had happened. All of a sudden there was a streak in the air as an arrow hit one of the wolves head on. All of the wolves looked in unison and then attacked as one. The poachers reacted faster than anticipated and struck back with brute force.
"Run Slade!" Said the Alpha wolf to the teenage wolf.
"I don't want to leave u dad!" Cried Slade.
"Do what he says!" Replied his mum.
"But-" started Slade.
"No buts! Just go and don't worry about us!" Cried his mum. "We can hold them off!"
At that Slade sprinted off as fast as his legs could take him, he is an extremely athletic wolf with amazing flexibility. He had been running for half an hour or more when suddenly he fell through a crevasse and landed in a pond with extreme force. The water was sparkely and seemed magical but Slade didn't get to take it in much because the force had knocked him unconcious.
