MILO MILLER
RALEIGH • 919"You wanna know why you in the room suspects be in this time?" The detective chuckled as he sat down in front of me.
"I know why. Smart ass bitch. You think you got one up on me."
"Oh but I do. In fact I got more then one. You won't see another day outside the prison grounds."
"But let's get down to business." He cleared his throat
"You might as well plead guilty to this charge because with a rap sheet like yours, that trial ain't going to be anything but living hell."
"Nigga you talking about a trial and I ain't even get officially charged yet and if i do get charged, what evidence y'all got? Let me know some."
"it's not what we got that proves it, it's who."
Somebody snitching??
"Yeah i see that look on your face. You thought you had this one in the bag. You might've gotten away with a lottttt of murders but this one? I'm pressing hard for it."
"Cool. Call my lawyer— matter fact let me make my phone call."
"Make it count." He laughed in my face before leaving the room.
A few minutes later an officer came to guide me where the phones were.
I started to dial Neliah's number but something told me to call Jilly instead.. She probably ain't even wanna talk but it was worth a try.
The phone rung a few times before she answered.
"Jilly?"
"Milo?"
"Man I need yo help so bad right now. They trynna charge me for a murder and I need a lawyer. Call Teejay and tell him to help you set that up, I got whatever money they need, I just need one fast."
"What the fuck?! Do you have a bail? What evidence do they have against you?"
"I don't know yet, i'll see the judge soon.."
"Fuckkkk. Oh my god. Okay, i'm calling him now and we gone figure it out."
"I—"
"That's enough Miller."
"Man that was barely two fucking minutes." I mugged the officer..He was really just being a dickhead.
"I said that's enough." He slammed the phone down and grabbed me to bring me back to the room.
"Mannnn I can't stand you dick sucking ass niggas." I yelled out as he pushed me in the there and closed the door.
I sat down and did the one thing I didn't do often, but knew that it was needed in the moment; prayed..
¥
"So he did that shit?! How that nigga ain't tell me?!" Teejay asked when I told him the situation.
"You worried about the wrong thing Teejay, he need a lawyer!"
