I drag my feet through the hallway of the school, walking up to my locker to grab some of my books I need for first period. I look to the side to see one of the girls in my biology class handing out fliers. I jump at the sudden sound of someone hitting the locker behind me. "What's up, Danny?" My buddy Calvin smiled as he stopped hitting the locker. "What is she doing?" I turn to ask him. "Stacey? I don't know." He shrugged while looking at her handing out a flier to another girl. "I think it's her party that she's holding for her sweet 16." Calvin remembered. Stacey walked up to us, hesitatingly handing us two fliers. "Hope to see you..." She mumbled as she walked away. "Sweet!" Calvin smiled as he looked at the bright purple paper that had dates and pretty stickers on it. "Dude, we should totally go." He looked at me. "Yeah, sure. I shouldn't be doing anything." I smiled and nodded. The bell rang and I quickly opened my locker, grabbed my books, and quickly closed the locker. "Cya, bro!" Calvin said while quickly walking away to his class.

Friday, 11:42 pm.Me and Calvin wait at the door of the house in the address that was marked on Stacey's flier. The bass of the music is slightly shaking the floors and I look over to Calvin anxiously and he looks back at me. "Dude, it's okay." He says reassuringly. Immediately the door flings open by a random girl that I have never seen before. "Hello?" The girl said confused while holding a red solo cup and a crowd of people throughout the house behind her. "Hey, we're here for the party!" Calvin smiled while putting his hand on her shoulder in a bro-dude manner. "An hour late?" She scoffed while walking away, leaving the door open and leaving Calvin's hand empty. "I'm so good at this." Calvin laughed while walking into the house. The immediate putrid smell of alcohol, drugs, and sweat hit my face like a brick wall and I quickly walk into the living room where a ton of people are dancing to a live band. A guy bumped into my shoulder as he was dancing, and he quickly looked back at me. "Watch where you're standing, fag." He rolled his eyes as he went back to dancing. I duck a bit as I walk into the kitchen where people are trying to talk over the noise, a guy and a girl making out on the counter, and a punch bowl filled with a bright red colored drink. I grabbed a red solo cup and dipped it in the bowl to fill it up. "Heyy." A drunk girl walked up to me. "Hey." I smiled. "You are like...So..Cute..." The girl slurred as she slightly stumbled. "Thank you, are you okay?" I ask as I helped her stand up straight. "Ew, get off!" She whined as she pushed me away. "Sorry." I stepped back as I took a sip of my drink, which I slightly gagged at from the unexpected flavor of alcohol. I walked backward and turned around to head back in the living room where I see Calvin talking to another person. As I was walking I accidentally ran into another guy who was carrying an amp cable, spilling my drink onto his shirt. "Oh, shit, dude. I am so sorry." I put my hands up. He was tan with black shaggy hair and deep dark brown eyes that pierced through me. I quickly grabbed some napkins that were placed on the side table by the couch, and I started wiping his shirt with it. "Uh, thanks." He said while grabbing a napkin from my hand. "Um, I can give you my hoodie to cover it up if you want." I said while looking at the bright red stain on his shirt. "Nah, man. It's good, don't worry about it." He chuckled. I stepped back and I turned my head to look for a trashcan to put the dirty napkins. "The trashcan is over there." The stained shirt guy pointed to a trashcan that was in the corner of the room. "Oh, thanks." I nodded while waiting for him to hand me the napkin he was using. "I can bring them; I was going that direction anyways." He said while grabbing the napkins from out of my hands and walked past me. Out of panic I just followed him through the crowd over to the trashcan. He threw the napkins in the trashcan and turned around, facing me, slightly awkward. "Um, I'm helping the next band set up if you want to come over to help." The guy said while looking at me. "Yeah, sure!" I nod. "Alright, follow me." He nods while walking towards the kitchen and I followed close behind him. "My name's Alex, by the way." He looked back at me as he slightly yelled over the crowd. "Danny." I yelled back. He smiled while nodding. He walks up to another guy and handed him the amp cord as he leaned in and told him something but turned around to walk back to where we were originally. "I'm probably gonna dip in a bit." I lean so Alex could hear me better. "Same, wanna go to 7/11 or something?" He asked. "Sure." I nod. "Okay, one second. I have to do this thing real quick." Alex nods while walking over to the sound system. I stand in the same place and awkwardly lean on the back of the couch. "Hey, Dan-Man, you doing fine?" Calvin walked up to me. "Yeah, me and Alex are going to go to 7/11. This party kinda sucks." I chuckle. "Alex?" He said confused. I pointed to Alex who was talking to a guy who was holding a guitar. "Oh, I never seen him before." He shrugs. "Me neither but I'll catch up with you later or tomorrow." I point at him while walking away over to Alex. "I need to grab my bag real quick." Alex said turning to me and then walking over to the front door where the coat hanger was. I put my hands in the pockets of my hoodie that I'm wearing as I follow him. He pulled down a black zip-up hoodie and a backpack from off of the coat hanger and slipped his arms through the sleeves, as well as pulling the backpack straps onto his shoulders. "Ready?" I ask. He nodded and opened the door, walking out and then waiting for me as I step out. "I have like...Ten bucks." I say while pulling out a ten-dollar bill as he closes the door. "That's good, I have 8 dollars." He smiles.
