Bam- A Wonderful Gala, Part 2

When I woke up, all I could think of was today evening's Winnowing Gala. I put on a peach pink tunic and put some light make up as well as a peach pink rose in my hair in the center of two small braids around my head. I went down to see Sophie, Linh, Maruca, Mom, Dad, and Fitz decorating. Linh was making fountains that the water would change to all sorts of designs. My favorite was the one where the water erupted into mini fireworks above the fountain. Sophie was arranging all the food Edaline into tiers, each food, their own tier. Mom was hanging fairy lights with teal and purple flowers that matched the comb I would wear weaved into the lights. Dad was building the arch which also had the same lights Mom was hanging on the arch where I would decide who I would pick, if I did pick anyone. Fitz was levitating to change the chandelier into a chandelier with crystal teal and purple flowers that matched... you get the idea. Suddenly, Keefe slammed the door open and Fitz fell into the chandelier he just changed. "Found a new chandelier to hug, huh Fitzie?" Keefe smirked. "Oh, shut up " Fitz said from the chandelier but it sounded like "Uh, hup uh" since his face was smushed against the metal. "Naw ge mu doun!" Fitz said, face still smushed on the chandelier. "You wanna come down? Ok Fitzie!" Keefe said in a baby voice. Then
he yelled at the top of his lungs, "GNOMES!!!!!" A gnome that was helping my mom shouted "FITZ LEVITATING HELPER!" As all the gnomes came to stack on each other, Keefe said "Huh. It looks like this happens a lot here, I mean, they even have a name for it!" Then, imitating the gnome, he shouted "FITZ LEVATATING HELPER!" Fitz thanked the gnomes and then smacked Keefe playfully on the arm and said "Your ridiculous." "Aww! Thanks for the compliment! That's why we're best friends!" Keefe said, flattered. Fitz rolled his eyes. "Where's Ro?" I asked him. "Oh, used to be pranking Lord Snootypants at the Waves of Wimpiness" Ro said, jumping out from her hiding spot, aka the food table. Sophie tripped from surprise and fell into Keefe's arms. "Aw, shucks. Falling for me again, Foster?" She blushed and mumbled no then got up and went back to work. Keefe turned to Ro and said "When did you get here?" "I followed you. When I was done, I snuck here with you." "Who ever thought something this big can sneak that good. I like this ogre" Grizel whispered to Sandor. "Sweetie, why don't you prepare? Today's gonna be a loooooong night." Mom said to me. "Ok." I said and hurried back up the stairs.
