You heave the last box into the moving truck and take a seat on the bumper. You sigh as a tear comes to your eye. "It'll be okay Y/N." Your boyfriend, Niall, says as he takes a seat next to you on the cold bumper. He puts his arm around you and you let your head rest on his shoulder. "We still have all the memories." He reassuringly rubs your arm, warming you up. You sniffle and Niall's warm embrace draws you closer and comforts you. He lets out a chuckle and says, "Remember that time when the kids were running around on that play set over there?" He says, pointing at a rusty swingset. Your eyebrows furrow in confusion but before you could say anything he continues. "Oh and that time when we had a camp night out in the back yard with the little ones." He lets out a chuckle and you think he might be insane. "And that time where you and I laid together, watching the sun set and waiting until the stars came up." He lets out a sigh and you finally have a chance to talk. "Niall, what do you mean? None of those things happened." You wait for him to answer. He lifts your face up with his free hand and stares deeply into your eyes. "Not yet." Your eyelids flutter closed and expect a kiss. Instead you feel Niall's prescence withdraw. You open your eyes and find him kneeling in front of you. "I want to make these memories happen." He says. "I want to grow old with you and I want to be there for you until the day I die. Y/F/N Y/M/N Y/L/N, will you do me the honor of marrying me?" Niall pulls out a velvet box from his pocket and opens it, revealing a gorgeous diamond ring. Tears swell in your eyes and Niall's figure becomes blurry. You run to to him as he stands up, catching you in his arms. "Yes, Niall. A thousand times yes." He smiles brighter than he ever has and kisses you softly on the lips.
