It was beautiful. The glass made the house unique. It's combination of sweet dark wood and glass formed a magnificent form of architecture.

I ran my hand over the soft brown couch, as the Luna's eyes continued to stare at me.

"My names Jennifer."

After the fight was over, we walked to the house in silence. They were scared to speak, afraid of what I'll do next.

"I think you know I already know that."

I looked up in front of me. The large flat screen was mounted on the wall of glass. The forest was visible behind the glass, the scenery was amazing.

I focused my eyes to the black love seat where the Luna waited patiently for me to reply to her statement. Her blue eyes dazzled with curiosity and excitement as her foot patted anxiously against the ground.

I couldn't help a small smile come to my lips. I don't blame her for being curious.

"Selene." Her smile widened as her white teeth shown at me. She slid to the end of the seat and placed her hands on her knees. Her smile slowly fell from her face and she put on a serious expression.

"How-I mean, why where you there. Why did you save me." Her foot stopped its tapping. The trees outside started swaying in the wind, greens and browns blended together in a comforting way.

"I'm your protector."

She looked confused but then looked at her stomach, suddenly catching on.

"I'm here to protect you so the Lycan species can continue."

"But aren't you a Lycan? I'm not say saying I don't want your protection, because I do, but why don't you, you know, continue the species as well?"

I moved my gaze back to the trees. How I would love to be a tree. No fear other than being cut down. It's a house for millions of critters and animals. It supports them. Lives a long life. No feelings.

"It's complicated."She didn't press, just nodded her head.

She took a big breath and slowly let it out, visibly becoming tenser.

"The doctor said I'll most likely miscarriage. The baby is too strong and I'm too weak." She said in a whisper. Her blue eyes met mine, the spark it once had seemed to vanish. Sadness filled the atmosphere. The trees slowed to a small sway.

"I know. That's why I'm here as well." Her eyes brows scrunched in confusion.

"What do you mean? How could you stop something like that?"

I licked my lips, refreshing the chapped skin. I rubbed my hands together and chewed some skin on my lip, a bad habit, the only thing that hasn't changed. I went over the speech quickly in my head that I've been preparing for this moment. I took one last breath before I began.

"The moon goddess told me. I'm the last Lycan and I'm here to protect you for the solemn reason that the Lycan species will definitely continue. There's a reason why I'm a Lycan instead of a witch or something." I paused, catching my breath.

Jennifer had a shocked expression on her face as she waited for me to continue.

"I, being a Lycan, am the only one who can make sure your baby will live . I have to, somewhat, bless the baby. After I do this, the pregnancy will go smoothly. The thing is, I have to do it with every child you have, but it only takes a minute."

She rested her back against the seat, processing the information. Her eyebrows were still scrunched and she bit her nails.

She went to open her mouth but got interrupted by a noise at the door. A tall, muscular man stood in the doorway. His blonde hair was pushed out of his eyes as he looked intently into the room. His blue eyes were directed at Jennifer in such a loving way.

She jumped off the chair and ran into his arms. She quickly enveloped her in a tight hug and whispers things in her ear. I quickly looked away, the scene seeming to intimate and private. It takes a lot for an Alpha to act that way in front of strangers, so I know he wouldn't want me looking.

My eyes focused on the white and black tile floor as the couple continued to stay in each other's embrace.

"Thank you." I looked at the guy. He had a a serious expression on his face and had a tight grip around Jennifer's waste.

I nodded to him and he looked back down at Jennifer. He reached up to her face and brushed a piece of hair out of her face and behind her ear, her eyes closed as their skin made contact.

He then looked back at me, his expression emotionless unlike the loving one he had just seconds before.

"How did you find us. How did you did her?", he asked in a soft voice.

"I can feel her energy. I'm supposed to find her."

The Alpha tensed, I'm not sure why. Probably the fact that I saved her instead of him.

"Calm down Anthony.", Jennifer said softly. She ran her hand up and his arm and he visibly relaxed.

She brought him back into her embrace and started whispering in his ear. After a second or two he looked at me and continued to as Jennifer kept whispering.

I stared at the trees once again, knowing she was telling him all that I told her only a few minutes before.

After another minute or so, the pair walked over and sat on the love seat together, hands interlocked. Neither one said a word, but I know they had millions of questions.

I started to remember something the Beta said earlier and decided of they're not going to ask questions, I am.

"Are you stepping down as Alpha and Luna of the pack?" They didn't seem to be effected by the question thankfully.

"Jennifer and I think it's best for our safety if we do. It's too much stress knowing she has to attend meetings with me and leave the pack, especially when she is wanted by half the world."

"But wouldn't you want your next Alpha to be Lycan? You're pack would be so strong."

Anthony opened his mouth to reply, but Jennifer beat him to it.

"We would be just as strong having our kids as warriors. We think that them having a regular werewolf as their Alpha will show them that they still have authority over them and to respect those above them. We don't want their power to get to them."

Anthony continued for her.

"When my younger brother finds his mate, they will have the next Alpha and he will be a normal, but powerful werewolf. Unless she can give birth to Lycans too." He had a humorous smile and I once again lifted my lips a little too.

"No, she's the only one, I would know." Anthony  stared at her adoringly as I paused for a second.

"The moon goddess wouldn't give this gift to anyone, you're special Jennifer, very special. The moon goddess probably agrees with you're reasoning because she gave you this. She trusts you and you're decisions. You guys doing this is probably for the best."

"That's what I said." Jennifer replied. They continued to share a couple's moment before they both stood up.

"Please, join us for dinner. Just us, I can see you're not very sociable."

He wasn't trying to sound rude at all, just being polite and trying to make me comfortable. I nodded my head quickly, I could definitely go for some food right now.

As I followed them out of the living room, I thought of what he said again.

Not very sociable.

At least not anymore.
