"Please don't do this dood!" I yell as Derp drags me out the door, Crainer behind me helping him push me out to the car. "Come on Ian, it'll be fun man." Crainer exclaims. Derp opens the door and moves to the side as Crainer pushes me in roughly from behind, I land in the back seat, face down. Crainer quickly jumps into the front seat, Derp getting in the passengers side. I sit up and try to open the door but of course Crainer sees this and locks the door on me, I glare at him.
So, your probably wondering what's going on, well let me explain. About three days ago, I made a bet with Crainer and if I lose I promised I'd go with him and Derp to the beach, unfortunately I lost. Now all of this wouldn't be a big deal if I wasn't afraid of drowning, that's right, I have a fear of the water. I simply can not swim. Of course neither Derp and Crainer know, and I was hoping they never would. Anyways, lets get back to the story shall we? (Stop breaking the fourth wall Ian!)
~Time skip to the beach~
After about an hour of driving and trying to convince them to turn around, we arrived. Crainer pulls into a parking space and they both jump out, they stand by my door, Derp getting ready to restrain me if I try to escape. As soon as Crainer opens the door I rush out the door and try to sprint away but before I could, Derp grabs me by the waist and pulls me back. I kick and yell at him to put me down, but he keeps his grip, soon I give up so he carefully sets me down. "Why don't you like the beach Ian?" Derp asks. I cross my arms and look away from him. "Can you swim?" Crainer questions me. I shake my head, shame and disappointment in myself fill my thoughts. "It's okay, I won't let you drown." Derp says softly, he gently moves my head to face him. Derp smiles at me reassuringly, a light blush grows on my cheeks as I stare, I quickly nod before thins get awkward. He doesn't like me that way, I can't think about hi- Before I could even finish my thoughts, Derp grabs my hand and pulls me towards the small dirt path that leads to the beach. We run the whole way there, stopping every so often so that Crainer can catch up with us. When we arrive, Derp lets go of my hand and runs crazily to the water. "Derp, you have to change first dood!" Crainer yells as soon as he catches his breath. Derp stops, falling face first into the sand in the process, gets up and runs back to us. Crainer hands Derp a bag before turning to me and handing me one too. "Thanks dood." I say before going off to the changing rooms.
I step out of the building, the hot sand hitting my feet the second my feet touch it. I search the beach front quickly before spotting Crainer setting up our chairs and blankets. I rush up to him and tackle him down, Crainer screams (Real manly Crainer XD) as we go down, he doesnt stop till he sees it's me. "Y-you scared m-me dood!" He yells, I laugh and get off of him as he glares at me. I turn around right when Derp comes out of the changing room, my whole face turns red as I watch him run towards us. "What's up apple face?" He says laughing, his voice hoarse and all over the place. My face turns redder, if that's even possible. "Race you to the water!" Crainer yells, Derp and I look at each other before sprinting after him. I stop right on the edge, the tide coming in and out, but doesn't touch me. Derp looks back at me and stops, confusion and concern in his eyes. "You coming Ian?" He asks, coming up to me. "N-no." I answer, Derp holds his hand out for me to take, but I don't take it. "I won't let you drown, I promise." He says reassuringly, I slowly take his hand and he smiles at me before slowly turning and pulling me with him into the water. The water touches my feet, soon covering my ankles, I shiver from its cold touch as it slowly creeps up my legs to my hips. My breath starts to become rapid as it reaches my chest, Derp looks back at me in concern but keeps pulling me forward. "Derp, I don't think I want to do this." I tell him. He doesn't answer, he just keeps pulling me forward through the water, every step I take makes the water crawl up my shivering body. I keep going till my foot can't find the ground and I go under, I close my eyes and kick but I feel myself going down till I feel arms around my waist. Soon, my head is above water, the arms tightly wrapped around me, I quickly put my arms around the persons neck and hold on. I slowly open my eyes and look at the person, my face turns red when I see it's Derp I'm holding on too. "I told you I won't let you drown." He says, his grip around me tightens as he pulls me closer. "Derp, I know this is a random question but...what are you afraid of?" I ask. "Losing you." He says. I look at him, unsure of what to say. Derp quickly kisses me, I kiss him back. His warm lips making me forget that I'm up to my neck in cold water, my fears, thoughts fade away, but soon become cold as he pulls away. "You...like me?" I ask. Derp smiles at me before answering. "No, I love you!" He admits. "I love you too Derp." I tell him. "Derp and Ian siting in a tree, K. I. S. S. I. N. G." Crainer sings while swimming around us. "Derp, I don't think I'm afraid anymore...as long as you're here." I say. Derp kisses me quickly before answering. "As long as I'm here, I'll protect you no matter what." He says.
A/N I love writing Derpee one shots :) PS. The idea of Ian being scared of water was from his ark video XD he said he has a fear of the water so I thought of this idea for a Derpee book, yay! :)
