𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒

  29st july 1991

   {third person pov}

THE SUN shone brightly at the end of westminster. it was quite early in the morning, yet the sky was a beautiful shade of aqua with snow-white clouds floating in the morning sky.

in the middle of july, with the summer heat, most windows and doors in the neighbourhood were left open. the sun lit up the area, casting a glow on the neighbourhood grass.

at 134 thirleby road, a little 10-year-old girl named y/n diggory was sleeping peacefully in her room. it was a calm and peaceful morning until her annoying 13-year-old brother, cedric diggory, entered the room.

"y/n, wake up now!" cedric exclaimed excitedly.

deeply annoyed, y/n tried to sleep through her brother's voice as usual. she turned to face the other side and put the pillow over her head to block out the noise.

y/n had always thought of sunday as a day of rest, marking the end of the week. but she was clearly mistaken.

"get your bloody lazy ass up!" cedric said, sounding quite irritated. "it's sunday, and we're going to the aquarium today!"

as soon as y/n heard the word 'aquarium,' her tiredness vanished, and she shot up from her bed.

"aquarium?" y/n asked excitedly. "why did no one tell me we're going to the aquarium today?"

y/n loved the aquarium; it was her favorite place on earth, second only to her bedroom.

"come on, cedric," exclaimed y/n, "i don't want to be late!"

y/n grabbed cedric's hand and pulled him down the stairs to the kitchen, where amos and jessica diggory were sitting at the table.

jessica diggory, with her long, wavy dark brown hair and grey eyes, worked at st. mungo's hospital in the spell damage department alongside her best friend, lily potter.

amos diggory, sporting short grey hair and brown eyes, worked at the ministry of magic in the department for the regulation and control of magical creatures.

"hi mum, hi dad," said y/n quickly. "i heard we're going to the aquarium today!"

"yes, we are darling. now go have your breakfast and get ready," jessica replied calmly.

cedric and y/n both ate their breakfast then ran upstairs to get ready. y/n was so excited that she could barely contain her excitement. she looked in her wardrobe and decided to wear some denim shorts and an oversized t-shirt.

after getting dressed, y/n went into the bathroom to brush her teeth and hair. y/n  decided to leave her hair down because she likes how it looks.

once everyone was ready, they got into the car and drove to the aquarium. y/n and cedric had to sit in the back, while jessica and amos sat in the front.

"i should be sitting in the front," cedric mumbled under his breath.

"are we there yet?" y/n asked, growing bored.

"almost, darling," replied jessica.

upon their arrival at the aquarium, the first sight that greeted them was the multitude of fish. there were various types: large, small, colorful, plain, some adorned with intricate patterns, and others with none.

"so many different kinds of fish," cedric said in awe.

"yeah, no shit, sherlock," (Y/N) muttered under their breath.
