In the days leading up to entering college, Wang Yi hadn't seen Zhou Shiyu for two months. It wasn't clear who was avoiding whom, but it was possible that both were avoiding each other. Wang Yi heard some recent events in Zhou Shiyu's life from Aunt Zhou, including the fact that Zhou Shiyu had broken up with her boyfriend.

The more Wang Yi thought about it, the more she felt something was wrong. After communicating with Shen Mengyao, Zhou Shiyu's classmate, she learned that Zhou Shiyu's boyfriend had betrayed her.

Wang Yi, finding courage from an unknown source, went alone to confront him with a baseball bat at the given address. The boy was caught off guard and only remembered who Wang Yi was after some memories flashed in his mind.

He scoffed, "Zhou Shiyu deserved it. I'll like whoever I want to like."

There were some unpleasant words afterward. Wang Yi hit the boy squarely on the legs with the baseball bat and kicked him hard in the abdomen. However, due to the physical difference between a boy and a girl, she still got injured. Yet, she chose not to tell Zhou Shiyu about this incident.

Zhou Shiyu found out anyway.

"Wang Yi, let me apply the ointment."

While their parents were out, Zhou Shiyu came to Wang Yi's room, and Shen Mengyao eventually told her about the incident.

Wang Yi's eyelashes trembled slightly, and she chose to obediently comply.

"Hiss..."

Not making a sound was fine; making a sound would be disastrous. Wang Yi covered her mouth when she realized, but it was too late. Zhou Shiyu's tears fell right into the palm of her hand. "Why did you hit him? You even got hurt."

"That scum got hurt worse than me..." Wang Yi said with a forced ease.

Later on, the guy shamelessly came to ask for money. Wang Yi played the recording from her phone, and he obediently chose to shut up. Knowing he was guilty, he couldn't even compare to a sixteen-year-old kid.

Seemingly a gentleman on the surface but worse than a dog behind the scenes, she spat. But thank you for helping me break the ice with my sister.

Wang Yi's joy was short-lived as she received shocking news – Zhou Shiyu was going to study abroad for college. But considering it, who doesn't go to another city for college?

On the day of their parting, Wang Yi resisted the tears. She approached Zhou Shiyu and asked for a hug. Being in her embrace made her feel a lot more at ease, and burying her head in Zhou Shiyu's neck was comforting.

"Well, study hard, and come to my university to accompany me."

This sentence became Wang Yi's goal for her three years of high school – she would attend the same university as Zhou Shiyu.

In those three years of high school, she matured a lot, grew half a head taller than Zhou Shiyu, and secured a place among the top three in her grade without ever falling behind.
