Malroth couldn't sleep. He was just looking at the ceiling with his hands behind his head, Wolf sleeping peacefully beside him. There was a lot of stuff on his mind that was making it hard to sleep and this weird...feeling about this house. Malroth looked at Wolf; he looked so peaceful. Malroth smiled. The sight of Wolf makes his worries disappear instantly. Wolf was like Malroth's cure, his light, his world, his everything. Back at the hospital, when he was sick, the only one he was thinking about was Wolf. Wolf was the one thing keeping Malroth together, the reason why Malroth still lives. Before he passed out and fell into a coma, he heard the doctors say that he might not live because of how sick he was and that he was going into a coma.
Hearing that made him feel peace, he was going to leave this hell world. But then, he remembered something, someone. What would happen to Wolf if he died? What would Wolf do without him? Malroth couldn't leave him. He just couldn't. Wolf was the reason why he was living a happy life. The reason why Malroth felt like he belonged. He even saved Malroth from his parents and made Wolf's parents have custody of Malroth so he doesn't have to live with random people. Wolf was the one thing that kept Malroth from falling into darkness.
Malroth turned to his side to face Wolf. He lightly stroked Wolf's hair. Maroth wove Wolf's golden blonde hair around his fingers, his hair felt soft in Malroth's fingers.
Malroth smiled softly. He was so lucky to have Wolf, anyone would want to have Wolf as a friend, but Malroth got him first and he was not sharing him with anyone. Malroth carefully weaved his arm under Wolf's body and slowly brought Wolf closer to him. Malroth wrapped his other arm around Wolf and cradled him close to his body. Malroth brushed a few bangs out of Wolf's face, smiling while drifting off to sleep.
