It has been an hour since the Saint Cassian Chamber Choir had performed their concert. For the last hour they had been wandering the carnival grounds of the fall fair; they had gone on many rides such as the bumper cars, where Noel and Mischa teamed up and rammed into Ocean.

The choir had been on most of their favourite rides, and currently Noel is attempting to convince everyone else to ride on the ferris wheel. "It's slow, calm, and especially romantic!" Noel glanced at Mischa briefly as he spoke. Penny twirled her long, brunette braids in her fingers as she admired Ocean. Ocean felt the eyes burning into her face and she turned to face Penny, who swiftly brought her attention back to Noel's rant about how romantic the ferris wheel is. "Fine, Noel! We'll ride your stupid ferris wheel!" Ocean groaned in annoyance which called Noel to stim excitedly for a moment.

The choir made their way over to the ferris wheel, chattering amongst themselves as they walked. The choir had realised Penny's feelings for Ocean, and as much as Noel and Ocean argue; they're actually pretty close. Ocean confided in Noel about her feelings for Penny, and Noel, with his love of romance, decided to play matchmaker.

They eventually arrived at the ferris wheel and started to separate into pairs for the carts. On the way over Noel had told Constance to sit with Ricky, to which Constance agreed. Noel sat next to Mischa, Constance sat next to Ricky, and as the choir plotted, Penny sat next to Ocean.

Penny sat beside Ocean, fidgeting nervously with her fingers as her face grew redder by the minute. When thinking about the ways to start a conversation, Ocean's voice snapped her out of her trance, "Are you okay, Penny?" Ocean asked with uncertainty. Penny's voice cracked with anxiety as she spoke softly, "Yeah, yeah I'm fine." Ocean however, didn't believe her in the slightest. "Penny, what's really wrong? You know you can talk to me." That was it. The dam broke. As much as Penny had bottled up her anxiety about telling Ocean how she felt, she couldn't help it anymore; her words poured out of her mouth.

Ocean sat staring at Penny, wide-eyed and red-faced as Penny admitted her feelings. Ocean had shoved down being a lesbian into the back of her mind for years in an attempt to keep her 'perfect child' status. She also knows from Noel's experience with being gay at Saint Cassians that bullying is common with queer people in their school. The only person she had told about her being a lesbian was Noel.

After Penny had finished her rant, her eyes were darting back and forth between Ocean and the floor.

Ocean's feelings were confirmed, but she couldn't, she can't like a girl back; she would be happy liking Penny, if Penny wasn't a girl. Ocean started to tear up, "No." She muttered under her breath. Penny started going red with embarrassment; she screwed up.
The ride eventually came to a halt, Ocean ran off leaving Penny in tears; she was mortified. Penny was zoning out until she heard Ricky's AAC device speak  in it's robotic voice, "Are you okay, Penny?", the voice read out. This caused Penny to burst into tears Constance ran over to Penny and wrapped her arms around her, squeezing her tight in an attempt to calm her down.

Mischa and Noel looked at each other with concern, they began to search for Ocean and they eventually found her sitting against the fence in front of the entrance to the fall fair.

Noel crouched down in front of Ocean as he spoke softly, "Oce, what happened?' Concern was written all over Noel's face. Mischa sat next to Ocean and awkwardly put his hand on her shoulder; he had no idea how to comfort people. Noel gasped in shock as Ocean flung herself into his arms, she began to sob slightly. "I hurt her. I just, I can't forgive myself!"

Mischa was fed up, being the angriest boy in town and all. He spoke harshly to Ocean, "Fucking hell Ocean! Learn to not care about your parents! I don't give shit about parents. Parents cannot change that you are lesbian! Fucking tell her how you feel or I'll do it!" Ocean nodded, her eyes wide.

The three of them made their way to the rest of the choir. Ocean hugged Penny from behind, holding her tight. "I'm so sorry, Penny. I hurt you. I like you too, I cannot believe I did that." Ocean was crying quietly when Penny turned around and hugged Ocean back, resting her forehead on the other girls.

"I forgive you."
