IT WASN'T LOVE

AND THEN I MET HER...

Closing his eyes for a moment, taking deep breaths to calm his body and heart, and sweating furiously, Raghav exhaled while wiping his sweat, he felt so tired that he didn't even want to open his eyes,

A hand lightly stroked his back to help him calm down, opening his eyes to look at the person beside him, he smiled looking ahead as the other laughed at him and said

"you okay?"

Raghav nodded his head at his gym partner, he was working out a lot this week, trying to lift weights more than his usual routine, and finally, he completed his target.

"every pain was worth it." Raghav smiled looking at his friend, they both started to settle all the weights on their places when both of them finished their workout,

"Are you nervous for today?" Sahil asked Raghav who was packing his stuff and things.

"Not really, it's just a new office, the work would be the same," Raghav said without lifting his head, today is his first day in the new office, as he has recently changed his company.

"New office, new boss, new colleagues" Sahil smirked at Raghav who was not impressed with his remarks on colleagues, Raghav rolled his eyes at Sahil and said

"you have such a one-track mind" Sahil scoffed at him and said

"every man has this one-track mind, you're just too introverted to show your thoughts"

Raghav didn't argue with him, it was useless for him to say anything, he already had to deal with new colleagues and a boss, and just the thought of doing the introduction thing made him awkward.

Bidding Sahil, Raghav went to his apartment to get ready for the first day, eating oats and protein powder, he started getting ready for work,

Looking down at the glasses, Raghav sighed remembering the past, he hastily put on his contact lenses and left to work after locking his apartment.

               Hope is the only thing stronger than fear

Parking his bike, Raghav stands there for a moment, trying to collect his emotions and steadying his mind, checking time once again, he's quite early from office hours, it was his own selfish motives,

He wants to look around the office by himself, it's much better than having a person around you all the time, picking up his pace, he went towards his department floor,

A complete silence welcomes him, Raghav smiles seeing no one, looking around peacefully, he passes by a cubicle with black-tinted glasses covering it, and Raghav stops.

'was that music?'

He thought as his footsteps halted, but thinking it was just an illusion maybe, he went to the coffee dispenser, making himself a coffee, In his world making coffee peacefully, unknown to the pair of eyes watching him calmly...

Raghav heard footsteps, he turned to see a few people laughing together, taking his cup, he prepared himself for all the upcoming questions, just after taking the first sip,

Everyone walks toward him, their gazes filled with curiosity, one by one everyone asks Raghav, and finally, after satisfying to get their answers, they walk him up to his desk,

And introduce him to everyone, Raghav was silently doing his work, when a girl opposite him initiated the small talk.

"Hey I am Neha," she said with a smile.

"Raghav" he looked up for a moment and gave her a stiff smile.

"You like it here?" Neha asked looking at him, while playing with her pen.
