The next day, after meeting each other secretly, the previous night.

**Arian's Chamber:**

Resting upon the plush mattress in the dimly lit chamber, Arian found himself lost in thought, his mind swirling with uncertainty. Suddenly, a gentle knock echoed through the room, followed by Cint, The Head Butler's familiar voice.

"Come in, Cint," Arian murmured, his tone heavy with fatigue. "You don't have to knock every time."

Cint Alaric, the Marquis of Verenthia, hails from an esteemed estate located just outside the capital, serving as Arian Volpir's head butler within the Shadowfell Citadel. Initially reluctant to embrace his role due to his family's expectations, Cint forged a deep bond with Arian when they were both seven, facing challenges that solidified their friendship. Today, he stands as a trusted advisor and loyal companion, unwavering in his support for the Demon Lord Emperor.

As Cint entered, his expression somber yet composed, he delivered the news that sent a shiver down Arian's spine.

"Your grace, your parents have requested to meet you after breakfast," Cint announced, his words laden with a weight that Arian couldn't ignore.

Arian's heart raced with trepidation, his mind racing with possibilities. Could they have discovered the truth? The mere thought sent a chill down his spine, filling him with a sense of dread he couldn't shake. Even the frightful demon king was a little afraid of his parents.

**Yumiella's Chamber:**

In the cozy confines of her chamber, bathed in the soft glow of morning light, Yumiella found herself lost in contemplation. Before she could gather her thoughts, a familiar voice broke the silence, accompanied by the gentle creak of the door.

"My lady, your parents wish to speak with you during breakfast," Raphine's voice carried a hint of urgency, her concern evident in her tone.

Yumiella's heart skipped a beat at the news, her mind racing with possibilities. Could this be the moment she had been dreading, yet secretly longing for? With a resolve born of desperation, she steeled herself for what lay ahead.

"I can't keep hiding my feelings any longer," Yumiella thought, her resolve firm. "It's best to be honest with them about my feelings, no matter the consequences."

As the weight of the impending meeting settled upon her, Yumiella braced herself for the storm that was sure to follow.

**In the empire of  SHADOWFELL CITADEL, the demon kingdom**

As the morning sun cast its warm embrace upon the courtyard garden of the Imperial castle, the Volpir family gathered for their customary post-breakfast discussion. Laughter and chatter filled the air as they savored the precious moments of familial bliss.
"I am truly grateful for this family,"
Arian's father, Luciel Volpir, spoke with a smile, his eyes shining with paternal pride.
"With a wife as wonderful as Jessabelle and a son as remarkable as you, Arian, our happiness knows no bounds."

Arian's heart swelled with love and gratitude for his family, cherishing the bond that held them together. However, his joy was short-lived as his father's next words pierced the air like a dagger.
"I believe it's time for you to find your own happiness, my son,"
Luciel continued, his tone taking a solemn turn.
"We've arranged an engagement for you with the first daughter of the Archduke Rozario Shirone, Roxana Shirone. You'll be meeting her next weekend."

Arian's world spun out of control at the sudden proclamation, his mind reeling with disbelief. "No... no, Father, I... I can't," he stammered, his voice choked with emotion. "I'm not ready for this. I don't even know her personally."But his protests fell on deaf ears as his father pressed on, convinced of the righteousness of his decision. "She's the only one suitable to be your wife, my son. Trust me, she'll make you the happiest man alive," Luciel insisted, his words laced with paternal authority.
Arian's fury ignited like a wildfire, his heart pounding with frustration and despair. However, before he could voice his defiance, his mother's panicked intervention shattered the tense silence.
"Arian!" Jessabelle's voice rang out, her tone tinged with urgency as she cleared her throat. "Son, please... trust us. You'll be happy marrying her. You promised me you'd never defy our decisions. Just agree to the engagement for now. Get to know her, spend time together. And if, by chance, you don't come to like her... we'll reconsider."Bound by his promise and his mother's emotional plea, Arian felt his resolve crumble beneath the weight of familial expectations. With a heavy heart and tear-filled eyes, he acquiesced to their demands, his spirit sinking into the depths of despair. As he vanished from the garden with the spell TELEPOSTLE, his parents basked in the illusion of his compliance, oblivious to the turmoil raging within their son's tortured soul.

**In the CELESTIAL EMPIRE, the human kingdom**

In the opulent dining hall of the Imperial Moondust castle, where the morning sunlight danced upon the polished marble floors, the Moonshade family gathered for their customary breakfast. Amidst the clinking of silverware and the soft murmur of conversation, Yumiella and her parents found themselves lost in thought for a moment, their minds wandering to their absent younger brother and son Yulian Moonshade, currently studying at the esteemed magic academy.
Her father, Jamie Moonshade, a distinguished figure with a kind smile and wise eyes, spoke up with a sense of solemnity. "Yumiella, my dear, it's time we discussed your future," he began, his tone gentle yet firm. "You've known Dariel Balforges since childhood, and we believe he would make an excellent match for you."
Beside him, Yumiella's mother, Cynthia Moonshade, exuded an aura of grace and compassion, her eyes shimmering with maternal concern. "Yes, dear, Dariel has always held a special place in our hearts,"

Yumiella's heart sank at the mention of Dariel, her childhood friend and now the subject of her parents' marital aspirations. Though she harbored no ill will towards him, the prospect of marriage weighed heavily upon her soul.Feeling the weight of familial expectations pressing down upon her, Yumiella reluctantly agreed to the engagement, her resolve crumbling beneath the weight of her parents' disappointment. With a heavy heart and a forced smile, she masked her inner turmoil as she assented to their wishes. Her parents, sensing her reluctance, offered her a glimmer of hope amidst the despair. "Yumiella, dear, if this is not what you truly desire, you need not force yourself," they reassured her, their voices tinged with disappointment but genuine concern for her well-being.
Guilt gnawed at Yumiella's heart as she witnessed the disappointment etched upon her parents' faces, but she knew that she could not betray her own feelings. With a heavy heart and a silent vow to rectify the situation, she left the dining hall, feigning urgency as she sought refuge from the painful reality unfolding before her. Her footsteps echoing through the hallowed halls as she sought solace in the quiet refuge of her chambers.

In the quiet sanctuary of her room, amidst the whispering shadows and the gentle rustle of silk curtains, Yumiella made a silent vow that she would confront  Dariel and confess the truth of her feelings for someone else and seek a path towards genuine happiness.

"In the tapestry of fate, woven with threads of sorrow and strife, Arian and Yumiella find themselves ensnared, pawns in a game beyond their control. With each twist and turn, fate deals its cruel hand, casting them adrift on a sea of uncertainty. Yet, amidst the tumultuous waves, their love remains a beacon of hope, a guiding light in the darkness of their shared destiny."
