Toni's Pov

"Your leaving already" I said placing the dirty cups into the sink.

"Toni I told you yesterday, Cheryl was taking my shift" Veronica washed the dishes off carefully.

I rolled my eyes, veronica knew this was the only time I got to see her, her dad has been working her non stop, getting her to sell drugs. "Babe, come on we're supposed to hang out tonight."

"I know, but my dad needs me" Veronica turned towards me.

I frowned my eyebrows, as get walked towards me. She grabbed my face with both her hands, pulling me into a short kiss. "Ill see you tomorrow I promise"

I rolled my eyes again, she looked at me smiling as she grabbed my bulge. I grabbed her hand, "Nope don't get me excited if your going to leave"

"Fine, I'll pick you up after work how bout that, and maybe we can 'hang'." Veronica removed her hand. She walked away, grabbing her bag taking her phone out.

"Cheryl said give her five minutes, she'll be here" She placed her phone in her pocket 

"I love you babe, see you soon" She said walking towards the front.

"Bye!" I yelled so she could hear me. I walked towards the front after Veronica left, waiting for Cheryl. 

-One hour later-

"Here you go Jeff on plain burger, with black coffee" I placed the burger down along with the coffee.

"Ah Toni, you always, do it right" Jeff said smiling at me, I loved his thick Scottish accent. 

"Has to be right for my favorite customer, have I every told you bout the best burger"

"Yes Toni, I ain't changin" He bit into his burger.

I shook my head, "No cheese at least"

"Nope everything, as plain as my soul" He sipped on his tea.

"Ill try next week" I said.

"I sure you well" He said waving his hand towards me. I smiled and walked away, as I heard the bell ring, I looked over and seen Cheryl standing there, she looked pretty her luscious red hair flowing down her back.

"So sorry I'm late, the kettle won't tend to itself well it" She said walking over to the coffee maker. I chuckled at her silly words.

"Its cool the store should be closing soon, then all we have to do is clean up" I said grabbing the plates off the empty booths.

-Two hours later-

I walked over to the entrance of the door and turned the sign off, I started wiped the tables off. Cheryl walked over taking her apron off, "Antoinette"

I looked up at her, nobody calls me that. "Cheryl, Toni's cool, wussup"

"I know history is your thing, in I'm good at every subject Obvi but I need help with the paper due tomorrow, Veronica told me to ask you." She said looking around.

"um okay, grab your paper and I can help" I said sitting down, pushing the rag to the back of the booth.

Cheryl came back with her work and hand, I started to go through the book reading it to her, explain along as I read.
