In the darkness of the night, Jace's urgent shaking roused the counselor from her slumber. "What?" she mumbled groggily; her voice thick with sleep.

While both Alex's friends stood by him, monitoring his physical state. Making sure Nikolai wouldn't return whatever it was they witnessed not knowing what to make of something that should be impossible.
When she came out to assess the damage her eyes widened crouching down to his hunched level, a hand on his shoulder. " What happened?"

Jace's voice trembled as he struggled to comprehend the inexplicable event that had just unfolded before his eyes. "Nikolai broke his arm... I don't know," he replied, his uncertainty evident in his tone. The words hung in the air, heavy with disbelief and confusion, as Jace grappled with the surreal encounter. Unsure of how to articulate the supernatural phenomenon he had witnessed; he could only offer a vague explanation to his bewildered companion.

The counselor's voice crackled over the radio as she urgently relayed the situation to the headmaster on campus. "We have a student with a broken arm," she conveyed, the gravity of the situation evident in her tone. "They need immediate medical attention. We must rush Alex to the hospital." With each word, she emphasized the urgency of the matter, knowing that swift action was crucial to ensuring Alex's well-being.

The counselor swiftly took charge, directing the students to carefully maneuver Alex into the back seat of her vehicle. With Jace on one side and another student on the opposite side, they created a makeshift support system to ensure Alex's comfort and stability during the journey. With urgency driving her actions, the counselor navigated through traffic as quickly as safety allowed, her focus unwavering despite the tension in the air. Meanwhile, Alex's consciousness waxed and waned, his fluctuating state a testament to the severity of his condition and the urgency of their mission.

Upon arriving at the hospital, the counselor pulled up to the emergency entrance with precision, her sense of urgency palpable. With practiced efficiency, she and the students swiftly moved Alex out of the vehicle and into the waiting room, ensuring that he received immediate attention from the medical staff. Their movements were quick and coordinated, a testament to their determination to get Alex the help he needed without delay. As they ushered him into the care of the hospital staff, a sense of relief washed over them, knowing that Alex was now in capable hands.

"How did this happen?" the nurse inquired with concern as they rolled Alex into the operating room.

"He broke my arm...mind," Alex managed to utter, his words strained with pain.
Upon hearing Alex's response, the nurse's expression tightened with empathy. "Put him on morphine," she instructed swiftly, understanding the urgency of alleviating his suffering before proceeding with treatment. With practiced efficiency, the medical team moved to administer the necessary pain relief, prioritizing Alex's comfort as they prepared to address his injury.

As Alex's parents arrived in a state of panic, their faces etched with worry, they immediately sought answers about what had transpired. Sensing their distress, the nurse approached them with a gentle yet concerned demeanor, ready to provide them with the information they sought.
The nurse relayed the message to Alex's parents, her own eyebrows knitting together in confusion as she recounted the events that had led Alex to the hospital. She carefully explained the situation, hoping to ease their anxiety and provide them with clarity amidst the chaos of the moment.
