Chapter 10

**Skyler POV**

I open my eyes and there is a blanket covering my body. I push it off and go to the office. They told me they thought I died, I didn't I just unplugged the thing so they would think that. They tell me I can leave and call my parents. I Called my mom.

**Phone Call With : Mom**

"Mom?"

"Akera, is that you?

"Yes, mom. Can you come pick me up?"

"Yea sweetie, I'm on my way."

**Phone Call Ended**

Everyone thinks I'm dead. Is that a good thing or bad thing? Has Michael moved on? Why did I sing to him? Why did I unplug the the moniter?

**POV-Michael**

Akera's name is everywhere. It's been 3 months since she died and she didn't even have a funeral. I need to get her out of my head. I decided to go to the club. When I get there the music is blasting and girls are dancing. I ordered a drink and started grinding on a girl. I could tell she was completely wasted. I whispered in her ear and we went to my flat.

**POV- Akera's**

When I get home I get hugs from everyone. There are a lot of "sorry for your loss" card and flowers. Michael, comes to my mind. I decided i should call the boys.

**Phone Call with: Justin & Carter**

"Hello."

"Who is this?" said Justin.

"It's Akera dummy. Who else would call off my phone?"

"Kera I missed." Carter says.

"I missed you too."

"Where are you?" Justin said so concerned.

"At Home."

"Ok, Good."

"Guys, please don't tell the other's."

"Why?"

"I don't know, i guess you can tell them."

"Ok, thanks bye."

"Wait, ate you coming to my birthday party in 2 days and ask the others.

"Yeah, we are."

"Ok, bye."

"Bye."

**Phone Call Ended**

Justin and Caryer are always so nice to me. I love them so much. I can't wait for my birthday in 2 days. Yay.

-2 Days Later-

"Sweetie, wake up it's your birthday."

"Thanks, mom." She then walked out the room."

For my birthday I decided we would go to the club. It's my 19th birthday, finally. I have the perfect dress. It is black mini dress with shiny black pumps. My best friend Cassie is coming too. She hasn't been in town since she went off to college and we got kidnapped. I go down stairs and there is breakfast everywhere in the kitchen.

"Hey Akera, what's up?" mom says as I sit down next to her,

"Nothing, just waiting for Cassie to come."

"Oh, ok. Breakfast is finished." I take a seat and dig into the yummy food. I put the dishes in the dishwasher and go pick up Cassie from in airport.

I honk at her and she runs straight to the car.

"Cassie!!!"

"Akera!!!"

"I missed you." we said at the same time.

"Birthday Party Time!!" Cassie yells out the window. I just laugh at her, she is so silly.

"So how has my best friend been?"

"Horrible. I died then came back to life, harry cheated on me. My life is horrible."

"Oh Skyler, I'm so sorry."

"It's not your fault."

"I just feel bad."

"Don't feel bad, let's stop talking about it." there was an awkward silence until we got home. It it know 3:00 and we go to the club at 8:00. We decided to get manicures and pedicures.

When we get back it's time to get dressed I put on my black mini dress with shiny black pumps. I curl my hair and put my red lipstick on and I looked in the mirror. I looked beautiful.

"Come on Cassie!"

"Ok, ok ,I'm coming."

When we get to the club everyone is there except for Michael. I called him and he said "he'd be here".

I didn't dance or drink because he wasn't here. People were laughing at me and I was just sitting around waiting for him. Hours past by and I just want to be alone. All his friends know there is something wrong with me but I just run to the bathroom and try not to fall apart.

Then when I get back I start crying because he should have been here.

"Happy Birthday to you!" everyone sang. I was ready to go home.

When I get home Michael calls and says "I'm sorry, I didn't make it" and I said "I'm sorry too." after that I decide it till for sleep.

I wake up to the sound of cassie calling calling me.

"Be there in a sec."

When i come in she turns on the news.

"Today on Spotlight, Michael Smith has moved on from Akera Marshall? He was seen leaving the club last night with a brunette. We also found out it was akera's birthday last night. Did he make an appearance or was he a no show? We did interview with the boys to see what is happening to him.

Trevor says; Michael has done this alot and will get over that slut soon, this is no big deal, nothing to worry about people.

Carter says; Michael isn't over Akera, he was deeply in love with her. Don't let Michael fool you with that girl, she is just dirt under his foot.

Justin says; Love will never die between Michael and Akera.

Eric says: I only have 8 words to say, Harry will get over that girl he was with.

Then we did a private interview with harry.

Michael says; I did love Akera but not anymore, she left me here. I am done with her, SHE is dirt under MY foot. I love the girl I met. She is smart, funny, young, and every loves her unlike Akera.

"That's all for the morning see you this afternoon, thanks for watching Spotlight."

**End of News story**

I can't believe Michael hates me. What did I do, it's not my fault. I think I just need to move on and I need to follow my dreams. I want to become a professional singer. There is a amateur contest to see who can get a record deal and I'm going to enter, in 2 months and I better start writing some songs.

**POV-Michael**

Me and the guys had a interview this morning about Akera and i brought the girl with me, but her name is Diamond Bryant. She is beautiful, kinda. She takes my mind off Akera, kinda. I love her, kinda. What is wrong with me. The guys hate diamond because she isn't that akera girl. I told them they need to forget about her. Me and the guys also found out that we are special guest at a amateur singing contest in 2 months this will be good.
