I can see her. She's staring at him again. I watch as she bores a hole in Rachel's side; Rachel and Percy have become awfully close over the past few weeks, I think it's getting to her.
"Hey." I say, climbing onto the bench and sitting next to her. I can literally feel her blood boiling.
"Look at them, they're so close. It's disgusting." She replies. It looks like she is surveying them intently.
"Jealousy doesn't look good on you, Annabeth,"
Her cheeks flush pink as she denies, and denies, and denies. I've known this girl for a long time, I know when she's lying.
"You know...I could help." I suggest, now looking at Percy and Rachel as well.
"Help with what?" I see her face twitch as Rachel giggles at Percy, most likely making a terrible joke.
"Getting him back. We could make him jealous." I say, vaguely gesturing to Percy. She scoffs.
"Ugh, how is that possible when she's kissing his ass all the time?" She mumbles this, and that doesn't happen very often. Annabeth had hated this girl since she met her. I remember her telling me about their first conversation. Her jealousy only grew tenfold after seeing her and Percy together. Percy had never been close to any girl apart from Annabeth, I think she secretly liked the attention she was getting.
I laugh at her statement. "Fake date." I say, looking at her. I see the expression on her face and raise an eyebrow. "That idea really never crossed your mind?"
"I'm not pretending to date another boy," She says firmly, before her eyes widen. "Wait- wait- wait. You meant..." She paused. "You, me... date?" She looks confused, but not completely opposed to the idea.
"Honey, I've done this before." I let out a small chuckle. "Always works. Be careful though, try not to fall in love with me." I wink at her. She gets flustered again, I have to admit it's cute.
"Don't call me Honey." She grumbled slightly, though it was obvious she was flustered. I could tell she didn't know if I was messing with her or not.
"You in?" I ask, raising an eyebrow and lowering myself to be at eye level.
"Fine," She muttered, trying not to make herself look more stupid.
