The entrance was crowded and busy, and the gate was blocked off by kids. After several minutes of waiting, I held tight to my bags and pushed to get to the gate. I made it successfully however, I still had to sign into reception. "Hello! Jon Wendell?" exclaimed a young woman. I replied, "Hello! yes indeed" "fabulous! Sir you will need a timetable for the day, start heading over to L12, and once it's printed I'll send it down for you" said the receptionist. "Perfect, thanks so much bye!"
I said while exiting the library doors. I soon found my classroom, I sat down and set up the computer and organised my bags. Not long after my timetable came. I checked to see if I had any free time and turns out I was 30 minutes early. I walked downstairs to the staff room. I got deep in my thoughts thinking how I could introduce myself as I knocked on the door. A short figure opened the door and my face dropped. My eyes sparkled and made eye contact with his. His ocean blue eyes were sparkling back at mine and our cheeks turned rose red. I regain my concentration and remember why I came down here. "Hello sir! I'm mr Wendell I am new here lovely to meet you" I said while clearing my throat. "Hi sir, lovely too meet you too! I'm mr collinge, I work in the science department a few doors down" he replied. My thoughts overcame my head and the first thing that my mouth spoke was, " better get going, I've got a lesson to teach soon sorry to rush off!" I said wondering if I should have just stayed quiet. "Haha that's ok me too" he replied with a cheerful smile. I rushed upstairs desperate to get away from the awkward silence.
