Slowly opening the door to the room, he came in. a soft smile stretched on his usual stoic face as he watched the little girl sleeping, holding tight to her chest a soft toy.

"Sleeping beauty," he called softly, taking a seat on the edge of her small bed. "Jungmi. Wake up, you have school."

A little groan emerged from within the blankets.

"Jay, I don't want to go to school today." Jungmi said in a whiny tone. It seems as if she was only pretending to sleep to avoid school.

Jay picked up the child from her small bed. His grip on her firm yet gentle. He gingerly brushed the hairs that fell on his puffy morning face.

"You know school is important, right?"

With that he took the small girl to the bathroom and put her down on the floor. The sink and the mirror just the right height.

"Jay," she whined a little more as the older gave her the toothbrush. His stern look made her go quiet.

And she brushed her teeth, took a dump and a shower before she walked out of the bathroom. Jay was downstairs, preparing breakfast for the two of them.

Hearing the bathroom door close, he walked upstairs.

"Jungmi. Do you need help getting ready?" Concern filled his tone as he watched the little girl trying to brush her hair. "Come here, little princess."

Jay took the brush and tenderly fixed the girl's hair.

"Two plaits or a horse tail?" He asked, bringing out the necessary supplies: ribbons.

"Hmm. Two plaits!" Jungmi enthused.

Chuckling, Jay got behind the eleven-year-old and did two plaits on her hair.

Then he picked her up in his arms and took her downstairs to feed her before he could drop her off to school.

"Got everything in your backpack?" He asked as he took the car keys and Jungmi's little hand.

"Yup. Jay, can I get cotton candy on the way to school?"

Jay didn't even had to look at her as he immediately answered, "No."

"Then while coming back from school?"

He took a few seconds to think before replying, "Fine. But you've got to behave today, alright?"

"I hope Jungmi behaved well today?" He asked as the girl hopped onto the backseat of the black Sedan. "Jungmi?"

But she was busy eating a chocolate that he didn't recall packing in her lunch. "What are you eating?"

"Theo gave it to me. He says it's chocolate day." Replied the eleven year old. Jay stopped the car.

"He said what? You mean, as in, chocolate day of the valentine's week?"

Jungmi shrugged. Jay was getting curious. "Tell me."

"Is it February ninth?"

"Yeah, it is."

Jungmi shrugged her shoulders again. "Then probably, it is what you think." A wide smile spread across her face.

"Oh. You have a boyfriend now?" Jay said, then realized how weird that sounded. An eleven-year-old with a boyfriend? Ridiculous.
