Sunghoon shouted 'I'm coming!' as he hurried to the door to see who was repeatedly ringing the bell. He opened the door to find a stranger in an orange uniform.
"Yes?" he inquired.
"Is this Park Sunghoon's apartment?"
He nodded. "I am Sunghoon." The man handed him an envelope. "There's a letter from the States for you, sir."
Sunghoon was puzzled. "A letter from the States?" The mailman nodded.
"Please sign here." Sunghoon signed quickly and the mailman departed. Who could be sending him a letter from the States? He had no acquaintances there and had never visited the country, unless --
"Oh, no. . .not him!" The male groaned as he tossed the envelope on the couch and headed back to the bedroom without even glancing at the letter.
His gaze fell on the clock. 1:00pm. He had no work today as Jay would be home and Jungmi was going out with her brother. He smiled at the thought of the twelve-year-old girl. He had grown fond of her in just a month. How lovely she was. However, her brother was a complete enigma.
At times he was kind, and then suddenly his cold demeanor returned. Sunghoon even suspected that Jay might have a mental disorder, perhaps bipolar, given his rapid mood swings.
He sighed as he thought about Jay. Handsome but erratic. Not Sunghoon's type at all.
Yes, Sunghoon was attracted to men. He was a closeted gay, with only his mother aware of his sexuality. That revelation had been a disaster. He didn't want anyone else to discover his secret in that manner.
A frown creased his face as he pondered the world's cruelty and double standards. How could society support trans-people but not gays? Not that the world fully embraced trans-people, but it was more accepting of them than people like him.
"Damn it, world," he cursed, slipping under the covers and closing his eyes. "If only she understood. . ." were his final words before drifting off to sleep.

Jay patiently waited for Sunghoon to arrive as he put on his watch and sat on the couch. He was dressed up for his work. Another stressful day in the kitchen but not like he complained. Cooking was his passion.
Upon hearing the doorbell, he walked to it calmly and opened it, expecting to see Sunghoon's face. But it was instead a very familiar japanese male.
"Riki?"
"What? I can't visit my sister?" He scoffed as he walked in past Jay. Behind him stood Sunghoon.
"Oh, I thought only Riki came."
Sunghoon gave a small smile before walking inside too.
"Don't let Riki spoil her with chocolates too much. I trust you," Jay told the younger boy, his words stirring something inside him. That smile meant a lot, especially since Jay rarely smiled.
For a few moments he was struck. His own lips forming a stupid ass smile. He looked stupidly at the older.
"What?" Jay spoke, his blank expression overcoming his smiley one. Sunghoon snapped out of his daze but still had a smile on his face. "Nothing much just that you said you trusted me so ー"
Jay waved it off. "Yeah, yeah. I'll get going then."

"Rina, take the orders of tables 45 to 50." The chef ordered as he began preparing for another round of orders. His employee slash friend leaned on the counter and smiled. "What's got you so worked up today, chef?"
