05 - Forest of Time

"Wait, can she see me?" Joonwoong asked Gu Ryeon when they walked into Jumadeung. "Who?" Gu Ryeon asked back.

"Jihyeon, Lee Jihyeon. Why can she see me?"

Gu Ryeon sighed, "I don't know."

Jihyeon opened her eyes shortly after she fell asleep. Then she saw a most unexpected sight. "I'm dreaming?" Jihyeon went back to the greenhouse where she talked with Jumadeung's Director.

She found a note on the table saying that she should come to her room and wait for her there. A dog approached her and then bit her pants. "You want to take me to her office? How cute you are." She ruffled the fur before following the dog. She walked through the building and saw that everyone was busy with their duties, so they didn't notice that Jihyeon, who was not a worker there, walked around the building.

Jihyeon passes through the meeting room and hears the familiar voices. "I'll wait for her here. You can go now," She sent the dog back to the Animal Shelter Companion.

Shortly after, the doors opened and Jihyeon saw the pink haired grim reaper walking out of the room and following by the man that she remembered his name was Park Joonggil and some other grim reaper that she didn't know. They see at Jihyeon and look confused, except Park Joonggil, who looks surprised. Jihyeon ignored them and greeted the Director.

"You...Why are you here?" The director asked as she looked surprised too. Jihyeon just shrugged her shoulders and gave her best smile.

"Why I'm being called here? And why is Joonwoong here? He's still alive, right?" Jihyeon asked the director as they returned to her room after sending Joonwoong to the team that Jihyeon heard as Risk Management Team or RM Team.

"It's our fault that Joonwoong fell into a coma because it wasn't his destiny. So I offer some choices, he can be our intern for several months or he stays in a coma for 3 years." Director explained.

"Then, why am I here now?" she asked.

The director smiled, "I just want to see you." Jihyeon looks disbelief and squinting her eyes towards her. "Ah, okay... I want you to help your friend and our RM Team. I think as an intern he might cause some trouble, and the RM Team needs to succeed in their mission to prevent people suicide"

Jihyeon stunned, "Me? I'm just a mere human." The director smiled and cared for her cheek, "You have something special, Jihyeon-a. Maybe this is the way we can understand why it happened to you."

Jihyeon sighed, then nodded. "How can I ask your help or some questions when I can't access Jumadeung freely?" The director touched the pendant that Jihyeon always wears. It's from her father a long way ago, "You can touch this, and hopefully, it can help."

Jihyeon looks confused. But before she can ask more, the director puts her palm on her eyes. "Someone needs you out there, honey."

Jihyeon rushed to Joonwoong's room after she got a call from Jaesu that Joonwoong suddenly had a seizure. When he arrived at his room, he noticed that some of the grim reapers were there, including Park Joonggil.

"I'll send my people in advance, team manager Koo." He said before leaving. Then he walked towards Jihyeon, and she just looked at him in annoyance. Then she just walked fast to Joonwoong's room but couldn't find Jaesu.

After making sure that Joonwoong's body is okay, Jihyeon leaves the room and approaches the RM Team nearby. She was sure that what had happened just now had something to do with them. Then she found the reason as she heard them, Joonwoong and the other guy, arguing.

"CHOI JOONWOONG!" She's almost shouting and hitting him.

"Jihyeon? Ah, why? Stop it!" Joonwoong groaned in pain as he tried to avoid Jihyeon's. "Team manager, help me!" The grim reaper who watches that scene then tries to separate Jihyeon from Joonwoong.

"What? Why is she able to recognize me?"

After Jihyeon explained that all she knew was why she could recognize Joonwoong, RM Team then explained that Jaesu got on the suicide list and Joonwoong tried to find the way to save him.

"Good luck with your new job. Don't dare to come to your own room or I won't pay the bills." Jihyeon threatened Joonwoong. Then they laughed and hugged each other before they parted. Jihyeon walks into Joonwoong's room as Joonwoong tries to save Jaesu.

"I can't help them now. I'm sorry, I don't know what I should do." She whispered.
