It was a rocket. Whatever Syndrome's got planned, he had everything set in motion, but someone wasn't so happy. Mirage was sitting at a computer, showing off a very ticked off look.
Mirage: He's not weak, you know.
Syndrome: [Turns to her; confused] What?
Mirage: Valuing life is not weakness.
Syndrome: Oh, hey. If you're talking about what happened in the containment unit, I had everything under control.
Mirage: [Slightly turns to him; still angered] And disregarding it is not strength.
Syndrome: Look, I called his bluff, sweetheart, that's all. [Takes her chin and tries moving her eyes toward his] I knew he wouldn't have it in him to actually...
Mirage: [Stands up; lightly pushes him] Next time you gamble, bet your own life!
Mirage walks away, feeling betrayed. Although he understood why she was angry, Syndrome was confused about the whole thing. Meanwhile, Helen and Y/n are seen sneaking through the forest, making their way towards the base. They make their way to the train tracks and look up, seeing one of the carts coming by.
Y/n: You stretch to it, I'll teleport inside of it.
Helen: [Nods] Good idea.
Y/n teleports to the inner part of the cart and Helen stretches her arms up, holding onto it as it goes on the tracks. She begins to swing around until she lands on the top of it, but hears the sound of banging on the inside. Helen looks in through the screen and sees Y/n, sitting in the front seat with a guard lying down on the ground.
Y/n: I was discreet about it.
Helen: Just hide him when this stops.
The two continue on, but look at the hanger bay to see jets all lined up, then the sight of the rocket. They put a stop in the giant hall, watching the cart go straight ahead. Y/n then turns to the sound of something coming from behind them and his eyes go wide.
Y/n: Uh, Mom...
Helen turns around at the sound and flattens her body to the wall, as for Y/n, he teleported behind of the cart going by.
Y/n: That was close.
Helen: [Takes a breath] A little too close.
They go out the end of the tunnel and look to see the guards loading something into the rocket.
Helen: [Confused] A rocket?
Y/n: Why are these guys keeping a rocket here?
Helen: I don't know, but Y/n, I need you to look around. See if you can find anything that might help your father.
