:Prologue:

The sound of laughter echoed throughout the night, two girls were sitting on the roof of an abandoned mansion. They were recounting stories from their childhood, one of the girls wiped a tear from her eyes. She clutched her side, laughter spilling from her lips. She looked over at her friend, "Oh my god, y/n I can't believe you remembered that!"

"Kinda hard not to, Valeria was pissed," She responded with a wide grin on her face. She chuckled to herself, recounting the memory, "I don't know how you put up with her, Hope. She's so stuck up"

Hope went quiet, a small frown tugging at her lips. She lets out a sigh, "Yeah..."

"What's with the frown?" Y/n asked her friend, poking her cheek. Hope swatted her hand away playfully.

"I've been thinking," She trailed off, mulling over her words carefully. She glanced over at her friend before continuing, "I want to take down The Society..."

"Hope, you know that means you'll be going against Val..," Y/n cautioned, her hand resting on the girl's shoulder. Her lips formed into a tight line before she continued, "Besides that's a huge endeavor, especially if it's just us"

"I know...trust me I've been thinking about that," Hope sighs, her eyes drifting towards the sky, "But I can't stand sitting idly, watching them do as they please..watching Val destroy herself..."

Y/n went quiet, she tried collecting her thoughts. She did agree with what Hope had to say, yet it was risky. She didn't know if anyone else would rally behind their cause, The Society was feared by most of the residents of Helios. Yet not doing anything was worse than being complacent.

"I was hoping you'd join me...," Hope hesitated before continuing, "I understand if you don't.."

"I'll join you," Y/n finally answered after a moment of silence. She flashed her friend a wide grin, gently punching her in the shoulder, "Someone has to bail you out of trouble"

Hope let out a chuckle, a smile forming on her lips, "Let's make some trouble and change the world"

"That's so fucking cheesy," Y/n said rolling her eyes while she chuckled. A small smirk appeared on her face, "I wouldn't have it any other way"

"Now, what's the plan, leader?"

"I..I uh didn't think that far..."

Hey y'all hoped you enjoyed this chapter! Just a quick note, I will be following the general plot of Ch5 s1 for this fic however I am going to be adding some personal touches to it. You'll see what I mean once the ball gets rolling more.

I'm not sure if I'll include romance in this story at the moment but things may change as it progresses.

This story will be on the more serious side but I will try to keep things lighthearted since it's a fic about Fortnite lol.
