🌊 The song of Water 💧

They cut me into two
with poisoned blades,
but in a flash, my halves
unite with seamless ease,
they confine me
to vessels of all types,
but I tease them, mimicking
the shape of my prison space.
They try to paint my portrait
and color me to their taste,
but I move, with a fluent flow,
Knocking their palette , onto the floor.

I cannot be caged, or locked in chains,
for I run through their veins,
I make and mar; I change my pace,
From a delightful drizzle to a ruthless  rain.
They dare to stall, my spirited stroll
with towering dams and sheer rock walls,
I creep out through the tiniest hole,
to become a wave and devour them all.
